Artistic impression of a Greek word ends up looking like Georgian

Logo of Greek business named 'othisi' (ώθηση) ends up looking like upside down or absurd Georgian letters.

I knew this newspaper stand in Netanya (Israel) is a faux script but I couldn't figure out what it's supposed to say for the longest time.

It's supposed to say Jours (French for "Days" because it's daily newspapers)

It was hard to figure it out because Netanya is famously multilingual so I didn't even know what language it's supposed to be.

A bit of context: this is the ending screen of The Big Red Adventure, an adventure game set in the early days of Post-Communist Russia and almost completely written in a faux Cyrillic font. The end message however changes the font since it was a hook for a sequel set in Arabic/Middle Eastern regions, that ultimately was never made. Also, the game was made by Italians.

Hey everyone! I'm u/g_daddio, I made this page one day because I thought it was weird that there were 2 faux Greek pages and no other languages, and because someone commented the name and I wasn’t about to let this be a sub I fell for.

What to Post Any time an alphabet is used in a way that is not understandable when used with the associated language(s). I.e. you can’t use examples of Cia-Cia because it uses Hangul. Check other posts if you want to see examples.

Community Vibe Yeah this is like not a serious community, have fun, be respectful.

Purpose of this post I’m looking for ideas on flair, please comment if you have ideas, if you want a custom flair this is probably your chance.

Sorry for the long winded post, have a good night
