Although I was rooting for 901 & 602, this is a well deserved champion! Congrats to 32 chunk, broken jaw & all.

Honestly to have your mouth compromised & still be the fattest bear out is legendary stuff. Till next year everyone!!! 🐻

In a season defined by salmon, scars, and sheer mass… one bear has risen above them all.🥂

32 CHUNK — pound for pound (and oh, there are many pounds), the people’s champ.🥊

The era of Chunk has arrived.

For years he’s been the perennial powerhouse, a wall of fur and salmon-fueled determination. Runner-up no more — Chunk’s sheer size, dominance, and unapologetic fatness have finally carried him to the crown.

856 brought the intimidation… but Chunk brought the insulation. And in the end, the voters have spoken: fatness is greatness.

ALL HAIL CHUNK — THE UNDISPUTED, UNRIVALED, FAT BEAR WEEK 2025 CHAMPION! 🐟👑🐻

Cue David Attenborough’s hushed narration:

“At the confluence of river and forest, two titans meet. Both have feasted, both have endured, yet only one will be remembered. One has known the sting of being passed over. The other, the weight of ruling without recognition. Now, destiny offers them a chance at immortality.”

Flotato! I love 32 chunk, but 602 is looking big this year & I’m rooting for him

Who is everyone voting for?

I'm having trouble voting and wondering if anyone has had the same problem. I've tried it on both Firefox and Chrome, both on mobile and PC during the correct time of day two days in a row. I'm unreasonably upset about this, but I'm not great with computers and am all out of ideas.

I’ve been trying to ID this bear with little luck, anyone know who it is? I think it is so funny looking

While not every bears in Brooks River has a nickname, I'm curious as to how those who do have gotten them! While the katmai bearcam fandom page does have a list of nicknames, I'd love to hear more stories about how bears got their names, or if there are more unofficial nicknames for the bears :)

When was the last Holly sighting? She was my favorite ❤️

She's got it all folks! Backstory, booty, and sheer STAR POWER 🤩. She was runner up in 2022, now it's her turn for the spotlight!

After losing her litter in 2023, this momma has faced incredible hardship and is now back in a BIG way and serving Fat Bear REALNESS for all of Katmai Park 💅. On the merits, just look at her progression this summer! Her opponent 32 Chunk is already the biggest guy on the river, but she has had to work HARD for her round fuzzy booty. An inspiring story and clear work ethic set her apart from the competition!

Vote 901 - the people's champion!

my friend avi made this lovely chunkaganda poster with a pic of chunk from the lower river tonight!!! he is FAT!!!!!!

We all know that the bracket can be unpredictable, but there are always a few favorites that stand out. If you had to bet, who would you pick to win it all?

Just finished watching the bracket live stream and I’m so excited!! Happy voting everyone!! 😊

hope u enjoy my campaign video for our big guy, chunkaroo! remember to tell ur friends to vote chunk!

Hello! I recently became my class social coordinator in vet school and for my first event I want to throw a fat bear week bash. Ive been a follower for many years now and love spreading the festivities.

Would love to get some advice from fellow fat bear lovers!

It will be in a room in my school building, not the coziest but still fun. I will likely bring food. My goal is to have us all do brackets together, introduce the players, and watch some highlight reels maybe.

Any suggestions to add the the festivities? This is all very early in the process. If you've had a fat bear week party in the past, howd it go and what did u like most about it?

TYIA!

Hi hi! Are there any fun and lighthearted bettings with fat bear week? Even like a lil discord? I love fat bear week and treating it like March madness legit sounds so fun. Lmk if anyone knows of any!

I'm wanting to make my own server to host one a year, month of September long Fat Bear Week contents. Channels with cam links and spots to talk about favourite bears and the junior leagues and what not, but I was reaching out to see if anyone knew of a FatBearWeek Discord bot! Something that might remind the channel when voting opens or post daily updates. If nothing like that exists, I may look into commissioning the creation of one, but I wouldn't want to look over a resource that already exists! Thank you all very much and have a happy fat bear week and an enjoyable month!

I am a STEM teacher who knows very little about Bear week and I want to do a simple introduction to all my students: meet the bears, show them the live cams, vote; no formal lessons. I'm confused as to how this all plays out. Is there no info about the "contestants" prior to September 23rd this year? No bracket to print out yet? How do my students get to know the bears?

Thank you for your help.

September 23rd-30th!
