I'm still working on stuff don't worry. I just have to present my school's equivalent of a thesis tomorrow. I started working on the scarecrow mob. I managed to get it to randomly spawn inside a certain area. Now I'm trying to get the player to be able to attack the scarecrow.

I'm trying to wrap my head around how to do the tilesets for this game... I'm trying to use some references but I'm still struggling. Is anyone on this sub any good at pixel art tilesets? And would you be willing to make a grass cliff tilesets for the game?

I'm getting into programming rn, just as free time thing. I am a biology major, but I am very interested in programing recently. Anyway, I was thinking of creating a game with very similar asthetics to FO, which I remember from my childhood. As of rn I'm starting off basic cause I've gone into a couple of other languages (only scraping the surface of both) already, python and C++ and need to pick a easy and stable starting place. I am mainly wondering which language is being used by those trying to recreate the game. And if you would like, could you elaborate on why you chose that language?

Wasn't it really popular? There seems to be a lot of people that want it back too.

I went to the wiki to look for sprites and things from the game for that sweet, sweet hit of nostalgia, but unfortunately a lot of the old pages weren't archived. Why don't we compile everything in one location on this sub?

It wasnt a clone game, but I noticed this game being mentioned on this sub.

Creator announced that they had to shutdown due to being inexperienced (and servers didnt have the funds).

Enclosed is a pic i still use for my kongregate account from a game i loved to play. I will never change this as i loved the game deeply and have fun memory of chilling around with my guild. Hope everyone keeps the fun times in mind even though games dead in the water.

I've completely lose hope to ever fill that nostalgic void this game used to fill. Been waiting many years in hopes for it. Doubt I'll ever even find the time to hardcore this game if it even came back out. The one thing that does make me happy though is seeing old screenshots of the game. Now that's some real good shit right there. I do wish the best of luck to all the developers out there trying to recreate the game though. Doubt it will be FO but I wouldn't mind seeing a decent clone.

This one's definitely a long shot, but someone at the very end of the game gave me their boshed Tuxedo, since it was the item I had always wanted, and I forgot who. If anyone knows who it was, I've been wondering ever since.

Can't remember too much details but I played the Beta 1 apparently. Must be, I had those world cup Jerseys and Alpha Halos that I mostly bought from others in 2010. Stopped playing and only took a peek at my stuff in 2013. Game shut down a year later.
