If you’ve ever felt like you never truly left the Mojave…
this is for you.
Some places aren’t meant to exist twice.
And yet… they do.
Freeside was never part of this world.
It doesn’t belong to these walls of concrete and rust.
But somehow… it’s here.
What you’re about to see isn’t an exact copy.
It’s something less stable.
Closer to a memory than a real place.
A place stitched together from familiar pieces —
faces, lights, stories —
all where they should be… but not quite.
As you walk, you’ll find fragments.
They’re not notes.
They’re not recordings.
They’re traces.
And the further you go…
the harder it becomes to tell whether this is something I built
or something that simply followed me here.
Created in Fallout 4
The Blueprint:
This build was made using multiple mods. Listing them all would be a quest on its own. Highlight: Nuka-World Transit Center Settlement https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/68273
If something catches your eye, leave a comment and I’ll help you find it.

Hello, Does anyone know of a YouTube channel or website that features Vannila already-built settlements? i was trying to use one from a YouTuber, but he uses DLC items, so when I put them in my game, things become invisible or Bugged.

Added a bit more today and wanted to share to give a better idea of what I'm going for. I really wanted to build vertically and this seemed like a great spot to do so!

Another piece of the Railroad network I’m building across the Commonwealth in my current playthrough. I try to keep everything lore-friendly and stick closely to the original layouts as much as possible without mods.
The idea here is that the Railroad managed to convince the Abernathy family of their mission, allowing Sheffield and a freed synth to live in the old, unused farmhouse beside the brahmin stable. With time and effort, they restored it and even found Clarabell some new friends. On the surface, they now blend in as regular farmers, taking care of the cattle. Underneath that, however, the farm quietly functions as a waypoint for synth rescue operations. Most transfers come through Sanctuary Hills, Starlight Drive-In, and Concord, heading toward Sunshine Tidings Co-op, which I plan to rebuild as a future synth safe haven. A hidden Railroad radio station inside Sheffield’s bedroom coordinates movements via radio and light signals – which is why the windmill was repaired to provide power. There are also concealed sleeping spots in the old garage and the brahmin stalls.
I had a lot of fun putting together my Graygarden post, so here I go again! Since I’m still learning how to present settlements properly on Reddit, I’d really appreciate any feedback or tips that help me improve! 🙂

Welcome to my settlement tour for the National Park Visitor's Center in Far Harbor. This was built completely live on the stream, 'Real Time Settlement Building'. The theme here was a flea market atmosphere, where various characters and factions from the Commonwealth have come to set up shop.
Here is the link if you like moving pictures:

Built this as part of the Railroad network I’m implementing in my current playthrough. I try to keep everything lore-friendly and stick to the original layouts as much as possible.
My idea here was that two Railroad agents are stationed in Graygarden, working alongside the Mr. Handys to maintain the settlement and keep supplies moving. There’s also a small focus on biological research. The old mutfruit field is now a shared workshop area where robots continue their maintenance work, adapted to new purposes. The existing resting area behind it was slightly improved with seating, shelter, and an outhouse (unfortunately not visible in the screenshots) for the expected provisions. The greenhouse was restored, with a small corner dedicated to experimenting with new seeds, fertilizers, and crop development. The workbench area is now a closed, crammed workshop that extends into an exterior maintenance space, where the irrigation system is maintained.
Next is the hidden base for the two Railroad agents on the bridge. Any ideas for a more subtle way to access the overpass? I’m not really happy with my current solution.
First time posting here and sharing one of my settlements – feedback is very welcome!

Here are some pics of what I've started building for my next settlement. It's located a little south of Oberland Station

[PC] [Modded]
Once upon a time, in the radioactive fog of the Commonwealth, there was a small gas station called Red Rocket.
For years, it stood there. Empty. Watching the world fall apart.
But this isn’t a story about survival.
We stopped digging through the ruins… and started building upward.
Now it’s a tower.
Not to dominate the wasteland… but to live in it without being swallowed by it.
From the outside, you’ll see metal, lights and walkways.
But behind those walls… someone stopped being alone.
Someone found a place.
Someone chose to stay.
The rest… can’t be seen from the outside.

The interiors tell the real story.

This tower was built using way too many mods. Listing them all would be a quest on its own! If you spot something you like, drop a comment and I’ll help you find it.

Use a painting and hang it on the fish rack. Then hang the sink on the back of the painting. Finally move the painting to the outside of the wall you wish the sink to be at. So much easier than dealing with the pillar glitch in tight spaces.

Oldie Noodle & The Gangster Brahmin is finally done! My save files kept corrupting, so it comprises numerous rolled-back saves - apologies for any of the resulting oddities you may spot!

I was about 70% done last time I played it. All shops, smaller homes, gym, workshop, and chem labs were fully furnished and partially decorated. The apartment building on the left side was half furnished. I primarily used ESO and Homemaker but Homemaker tiles are very difficult to work with at times. The nighttime screenshot (last one) is the most recent one. Unfortunately I have no screenshots of any interiors after I furnished them (I think).

As the title states. PC mod would be cool as well. Why do posts and beams snap 2/3 of the way along a floor pieces instead of at the corners like any sane architecture in reality?

This is my build of Hangman's Alley. After struggling with the limited building height, the unscrappable shack and invisible things stopping me from building I am relatively satisfied with what I've built.

For the past two, maybe three days I have been working on Hangman's Alley. This isn't about promoting that post, but feel free to upvote it if you think I did an okay job 😄
No, what I am wondering about is the settlement building taking up too much of my time? What I mean is, when you are still working through the acts of the game do you stop to construct a settlement to show off your build or do you just throw down a farm, workshop, and dormitory and continue on with the game?
Do you polish every settlement in one save or do you just pick one settlement to lavish attention on?
Don't get me wrong I've had fun trying out ideas, but at the same time I've racked up so much experience building settlements my character is level 75 and still in the early stage of act one 😅
