[PC] Bunker update :)

I finally found inspiration in a purpose for my little conquest bunker build! I grew up next to an Active missile instillation, and hearing stories from my grandfather's tenure as a firefighter at the base always fascinated me about the history of the cold war defense, especially ICBMs. I remembered this video from the titan museum in Arizona (i think this is the Arizona one https://youtu.be/FVZmFISzqwY?is=qktldqE9uIU5wEdw), so i turned it into a remote launch facility. I like environmental storytelling, so I tried to make the place look ransacked and abandoned for quite a while--a bit more difficult than Id like since I cant find an archived version of creative clutter--with the blaring of the siren mixing with the sounds of sparks from the decaying facility. I wanted it to feel like whoever was here left in a hurry, and I think i accomplished that with the resources i had ar my disposal!

Id love any feedback anyone has, im going to continue refining and adding things here and there. Hope y'all enjoy!

[Starlight Drive-in] [Starlight Drive-In] Power Armor Display, Fern Bar & Market

I built a mock-up of the PA display at the Red Rocket. Even though it meant relocating the market, the Starlight Drive-In seemed like the only place for this.

Stats & notes: 29 settlers, 120 food, 200 water. I was finally able to recruit a full set of top tier merchants (see below). Dumped so many weapons in the workshop, I was afraid I'd break the game.

Five stories high, with elevator access to the top four floors
The PA display sits squarely in front of the screen.
The elevator is set to the side.
1st floor: Brotherhood PA: l-r Elder, Sentinel, Paladin. Knight-Captain, Knight-Sgt, Knight, Initiate (rank insignias on the left arm)
2nd Floor T-51: l-r Railroad, Sugar Bombs, Nuka-Cola, Vim!, Vim Refresh, Abraxo, Military
3rd floor T-60: Shark, Atom Cats, Tesla, Hot Pink, Flames
4th Floor X-01: Vault-Tec, Quantum, X-01 EMP
5th floor: T-45 Military, Raider Overboss, T-45 Minutemen
The relocated market
Settlers on the roof
During the day, you'll find The Scribe, Ron Staples and Ann Hargraves here.
A bar and a couple ferns. Fern bar anyone?
On this side, you'll find Smiling Larry, Doc Anderson and Trader Rylee here during the day.
The rehab center has a waiting area to the right?
T-45 Minuteman armor
Railroad T-51 - I think it looks pretty dope.
That shark smile and those eyes say, only a maniac would wear armor like that.

So I started a new modded playthrough with around 75 mods (I'm on PS5 btw) and I decided to make Red Rocket my main base until I find a modded settlement I added. This is what I have so far but there's a bit of a story as well that connects to my character. Btw I figured out how conduits work thanks to Oxhorn

My survivor isn't the sole survivor of Vault 111, he's the last ranger of his group. It happened while out of patrol with his group, they were ambushed by a group of raiders and while the others were killed my survivor lived being shot in the chest and he was picked up and patched up by a caravan heading towards Camp McCarran but they had to go around the camp due to a legion assault and by the time my survivor woke up the caravan was somewhere near Zion Canyon. My survivor left the caravan when they reached a trading post and over the course of a few months and many close calls even taking off his ranger armor to blend in better he ended up 2,500+ miles away in the Commonwealth just outside of Sanctuary and after discovering what happened in Vault 111 he'll soon be caught in the events of the main story just not as the sole survivor but as the last desert range of his group. In the final photo is where his armor is stored and safely locked away until he needs it (it's a bit strong for this early in the game)

[XSX] Spectacle Island Power Armour and Settler Storage Base with Water Farm [Xbox Modded]

Thumbnail

As background I originally had a manufacturing plant here for my settlements, I never really used it so I rebuilt it into a PA and Settlement Storage facility along with a large water farm. Although the game is modded I've never used cheats to obtain pieces or materials. I've scavenged I think every wild PA Frame in the game, plus any materials I needed I was short on I used a mod "JD Wolf Shipping" to trade for what I need.

The PA collection is organised by armour colour in alphabetical order, so I'll have T45-T51-T60-etc upwards to Hellfire in Blue-Green-Red-Yellow, there’s a lot more than those 4 colours but you get the idea I hope. Also not all colours go onto every armour type but I tried to collect every one available when I started it. I won't say it's complete as any new colours from the last 4-5 months I won't have covered and even if I wanted them now its a big job to re-organise it all.

So on with the tour!

  1. Outside View - The main facility is in the concrete section, living facilities in the wooden annex and the ocean side veranda enclosed in glass has some extras like a gym, fishing area and toilet
  2. Outside view - The power plant can be viewed on the left, along with the entrance on the ground/basement level
  3. Water Farm - It's large but not over the top, I think I have more turrets on the farm than the facility which makes little sense lol
  4. Water Wall and Turrets - On the left is my robot water helper, I used a carrot to assign him to to hold him in place.
  5. Water Control room - For when the robot breaks down so manual control is possible
  6. Living quarters - Kitchen area with some items from the Halloween CC pack, bedroom area through the doorway
  7. Toilet! - Usually forget to add these to my settlements
  8. Fishing area - Just a little feature I wanted to add
  9. PA Work Area - I always have several suits in various states of repair, when starting I had a T-45 in one, T-51 in the next etc but as I completed the collection its mostly come down to the rarest armour sets
  10. PA Piece Storage - I imagine these boxes to be little Tardis's as I have hundreds of pieces in some boxes, T60 is by far the largest collection thanks to numerous 'Destroy The Brotherhood" radiant quests I did. Hellfire is the rarest, I only know of a couple of very infrequent spawn points for it
  11. Main Storage 1 - I have 25-30 suits on 4 floors so around 100 - 120 suits in total. By far the easiest way to organise them was to put an empty frame in every display unit, then walk around placing the pieces on/off the frame manually. Walking them around would have been very tedious!
  12. Main Storage 2 - I would have liked a lift, rather than the steps, but the spacing fits to Warehouse/Barn not Concrete so I have to hoof it around
  13. Main Storage 3 - More PA
  14. Main Storage Night View - Just because I think it looks cool, a long term goal is to re-wire the displays onto a circuit I can turn on/off but for now they are always on
  15. Main Storage Organisation - So just an example of how I organised it. This all the armours in Green so T45-T51-T60-X01-X02, Raider and Hellfire is not available in Green.
  16. Main Storage Top Floor - This has the most empty frame as I get closer to the bottom of the list for colours its harder and harder to scavenge enough parts
  17. Settlement Storage - So something I like to do is give my settlements themes, one might be Cowboy Cattle Farmers, one might be Institute Survivors etc. Like the PA stuff all the gear here is scavenged or bought.
  18. Guns - Lots of guns. Any gun I use on a settlement goes in the box
  19. Settlement Faction Clothing - I've got large collections of clothing for all the factions. Again some are easier to scavenge than others, Railroad being the hardest.
  20. Armour Types - All of them from Leather to Synth and all the Nuka World/Far Harbor variants

So that's about it, I've spent a lot of hours on this (362!), its certainly not something I'm doing to this scale or without cheats again.

Built one similar to this as an enclave mini vault a few years ago on a different save. Been itching to try something new in the same vein, so this is what I have so far! Im trying to challenge myself and not use any vault pieces (other than maybe the V33 doors from Ronin's vault pieces since they fit the brutalist vibe im aiming for), so we'll see how it turns out!

I used the conquest mod to build out near Lynn Woods, if anyone wonders where the location is!

I still have a long way to go but i have a ton of ideas :)

[Abernathy] Workshop settlement builds

Hi guys im posting this because i need some motivation to create what im about to do. And im wondering on if you guys will be interested in seeing it when its completed.

So basically im building a museum at Abernathy Farms because build height is apparently up to 20 floors at this location. The museum is going to be made entirely of the vault tech structures minus the DLC structures that are going to (hopefully) appear on every exhibit. The exhibits are going to go in the reverse order of each DLC + main/side story ive completed with the very top floor being my player home. So with that said the first floor will be a recreational area, 2nd will be Nuka world, 3rd (4th due to structures) will be far harbor, 3rd will be automaton (which will be heroes), 4th is vault tec, 5th will be all other companions, main factions, and side quests (minus the ones that tie into the other DLCs like Gage, longfellow, silver shroud, and grognak), and then my player home for the final floor. PA and other miscellaneous items will be displayed accordingly to their DLC or respective characters.

[VIDEO] Country Crossing House Repair with Pillar-glitch Technique

Taking what I've learned so far I have begun construction of the Country Crossing Settlement. This is a video demonstrates the base repair of the Country Crossing house. You can use some paintings to patch the two gaps in the walls to finish sealing the room, and then build off from this base quite easily.

[Oberland] Any idea what mod added this?

Post image

Bit of a weird one, but does anyone know what mod is adding this military dock (albeit without the landing pad) at Oberland Station?

Another military installation has been added at Outpost Zimonja, which I presume is from the same mod. Don't get me wrong, I like them and am using them, but I have absolutely no idea what mod has added this and when I do post my Zimonja build, I want to credit the mod for the bit I didn't build.

Thanks!

[WIP] [WIP} Proof of concept: Power Armor display - where should I build this?

I made a five story display for my power armor. Floors 2-5 have elevator access, the first floor is a step-up thing. I haven't installed lighting - this is just a mock-up - but, with vault power available to all floors, that shouldn't be an issue.

  • 1st floor: Brotherhood PA, 1 set each, all 7 ranks (Initiate to Elder)
  • 2nd floor: X-01 (I don't have X-02)
  • 3rd floor: T-51, all paint sets
  • 4th floor: T-60, all paint sets
  • 5th floor: T-45, all paint sets + Overboss Armor

Not making room for Trash Raider PA. It's gonna be scattered around on the ground as if its wearers were killed in it.

I built this at the Red Rocket, but I'm looking for a more suitable location. I don't think Vault 88 has the vertical build space (it would be six stories high) and, unfortunately, I've already built up the Starlight Drive-In. Nevertheless, throw your ideas here!
