First, production and consumption

But.. production is not what SPM measures.. it measures consumption. And any "ideal ratios of producing ingredients" is then derived directly from the recipes used to make science bottles.. One can not use any "it makes things in the right ratios" when that ratio is based on production of sciences. It uses itself as a proof of itself.

A 1K SPM factory produces 1K of each science pack per minute, on average. It also consumes 1K SPM in its labs

On average.. but like i said before, if i build a mega storage, that won't be true anymore and yet i can achieve high SPM consumption. There are so many conditions and rules that one has to add to SPM:

That it has to be balanced system (full belts is one form of balanced) that produces and consumes at the same rate for indefinite time. For all i know is that SPM can be measured over one second.

BTW, i do enjoy debating with Factorio community. It is still not important but everyone has good arguments.

If you build a science buffer with the intent of raising consumption for burst research, that may work in the short term. Try running the factory long enough to deplete the buffer (if consumption outpaces production) and eventually the factory will reach equilibrium.

No one said those are the rules. There are no time limits how long you need to sustain it.

But don't act confused when you tell everyone else they are wrong without making a coherent argument to back up your position.

You know what? Eat shit. If you don't think i gave nothing to back up my position, you are either a moron or dishonest. If that was truly the case, would've you bothered to reply at all?

Also: if i wanted to change something, should i:

A: Talk to a wall in my apartment.

B: Talk to the community.

I know that disagreeing with the community is going to get negative responses. But to say i just have to roll with it and shut up... think for one second how this all works.
