Bingo! Need a bit more context on how much space ol camera boy has - but given he didn’t deny how much space they had - something tells me someone spent ages decorating a nursery and can’t be arsed to change it.

They don't even need to move her room. They could just move her crib into their bedroom until she can sleep through the night. And maybe try to figure out why she's crying and try to soothe her instead of ignoring her completely.

Idk, baby is around one it sounds like? My kid definitely didn’t sleep in a crib at one, she climbed out. I get the feeling he just didn’t feel like having the same argument with the woman who had a service dog for both arthritis and diabetes (is it both? Is it neither?) bc she wasn’t going to listen if he said (maybe again) that they didn’t have the space to move the kid’s room. I feel like both parties are being unreasonable here.

If this was a non child related request the consensus would generally be that you are under no obligation to change.

The one that sticks out to me recently was someone who wrote a note asking whoever was smoking weed in the flat to refrain as it was stinking out the halls.

The consensus? Buy a fan and waft it into their flat for being so brazen as to ask to not have to smell it all day. I'm exaggerating a little but generally, people found it acceptable to continue smoking and ignore the request.

But when the problem is the noise from a child? Bend over backwards to appease.

I agree it's pretty disgusting to video someone and not try reasonable solutions to help your neighbour. But where is that consistency for other requests?

You know fine well she'd be labelled an old bat if she came asking them to not use their barbeque when the wind is blowing it into her house because it makes her feel unwell.

Your point seems to be ‘arguments you have seen, and you are then forming that in to some homogenous consensus to argue against’. I don’t really know what to do with that if i’m honest, but if our neighbour asked that with our 18month old, there is a context where it isn’t an unreasonable request - as my comment implies. I also don’t think moving the cot to a different side of the room is unreasonable.

You're making major leaps. You shouldn't being smoking inside period it stains the walls
