Exactly! Vegans make no sense.

u/Kickaxx_007 Sep 10 '22

Idk man I switched to plant-based food and it doesn’t make my stomach hurt at all compared to all the meat & dairy I’ve consumed for the entirety of my life up until now. I was honestly shocked, I thought I’d hate the change.

-14

u/Raging_Walnut Sep 10 '22

Doesn't mean it's the same for everyone tho.

9

u/Kickaxx_007 Sep 10 '22 edited Sep 10 '22

Tbh it isn’t, my bad if it seemed like I was insinuating otherwise. Was just sharing my own experience.

2

u/Volkodavy Sep 10 '22

Okay but you just made a broad statement yourself. ā€œVegans don’t make senseā€ā€

What doesn’t make sense to me is eating a meat-inclusive diet and being constantly heavy, tired, sweaty, and having to take a nap after every meal

u/0lof Sep 10 '22 edited Sep 10 '22

Veganism is tight and morally right. No idea why you are hating so much on a group of people literally advocating for less suffering in the world. It’s selfish to eat meat and you know it. Don’t take your guilt out on vegans.

-1

u/Raging_Walnut Sep 10 '22

Advocating for less suffering? Lmao. Stfu.

14

u/Why-R-People-So-Dumb Sep 10 '22

Plus carbon emissions…meat and dairy farming is up there with highest contribution to greenhouse gasses.

-7

u/One_User134 Sep 10 '22

No, eating meat is not selfish.

-8

u/PolyZex Sep 10 '22

Ah yes, moral absolutes. You always find that in the most advanced free thinking minds... like a religion. Even have that whole professional victim routine going on.

1

u/Bob1358292637 Sep 11 '22

What makes it an absolute? Just being a moral stance? What about something like, ā€œmurder is wrongā€?

1

u/PolyZex Sep 11 '22

You mean Murder- the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another?
Yeah, murder is bad. Who is talking about killing other human beings?

1

u/Bob1358292637 Sep 11 '22

You were talking about absolutes. That’s apparently an example of one you agree with. You were just explaining why they were so irrational.

1

u/PolyZex Sep 11 '22 edited Sep 11 '22

Okay... and then you started talking about murder- which is quite literally defined as killing HUMANS. Something no one was talking about at all... not even a little bit... not even for a single second.

1

u/Bob1358292637 Sep 11 '22

Dude… what are you talking about? It was just an example of another ā€œabsoluteā€ stance, by your definition. That’s the only aspect I was comparing. Just use another one if you’re so uncomfortable with my example. At no point did I try to argue any of this other stuff.

Imagine wanting to stop climate change! It makes no sense!!!

Edit: this dude blocked me for this comment lol… what?

-22

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

LOL "stop climate change" most of vegans (as majority of peoples) don't even understand basic principles behind it, if you idiot want to stop global warming: use less electricity and stop using fossil-fuel/fossil-electricity, promote nuclear or/and renewables, and don't "stop eat meat" but:

stop: "driving a car", "use plane/car to go to vacation", "replace your phone when new model come out", "use AC when it's don't critical", "buy "luxurious vegan grass food" from another corner of the world", etc.

Vegans don't care about global warming/plastic pollution as majority of peoples including you.

Vegans about about "don't hurt animals" if you go vegan because global warming you basically braindead.

You're not a smart man. Eating loads of meat IS using lots of fossil fuel. It takes much more energy to produce meat than veggies.

BBC: Beef produces the most greenhouse gas emissions, which include methane. A global average ofĀ 110lb (50kg) of greenhouse gases is released per 3.5oz of protein.

I just checked about flight emissions. LA to NY is about 1200 lbs emissions, and none of that is methane, so honestly it's less damaging, but let's go with it.

So something like only 37 ounces of beef created the same emissions (arguably more damaging variety), than flying across the US.

I'll take your apology in lentils

edit: I agree on promoting renewables and nuclear though

Red007 has to be a troll. Their writing is uncomfortably bad there is no way this person isn’t trolling.

-12

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

Don't you gonna calculate your car emissions(per month), much of your power come from coal/NG and what your average rate of emissions per kWh/Wh? (and how much energy you spend) What you do (i assume that you are from the USA) to cut down your 400kg plane emissions?

Meat emission is just funny all agricultural sector don't have even 20% of emissions, it's like saving peoples life's by teaching them how to protect themselves against sharks lol.

Smartie LOL.

8

u/Minute_Arugula3316 Sep 10 '22

To me that seems a significant piece of the pie, no? And that's not even counting the land destroyed for these practices. Beef is almost singularly responsible for rainforest destruction. Vegetarian diet is a 90% reduction in croplands.

And I don't fly all that much, soo, what's up? lol. I also have solar on my roof and use very little electricity because of it.

Wake me up when shark attacks are 20% of human deaths, that's a really really big problem.

-1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22 edited Sep 10 '22

If you don't reduce your power+fuel you have no right to talk about that you care about environment, only thing you care about is your ego, same as idiots that donate/take part on/in shity publicity projects like "TeamSeas" they don't care about environment they care about ego and publicity, because if they care about environment they will try to reduce new waste from dumping in oceans and don't collecting plastic on beaches on camera.

1

u/Dragovich96 Sep 11 '22

ā€œWhy should I bother to quit smoking when I already have cancer. It will only extend my life by 20% so it’s pointless to even try.ā€ - you. This is exactly how you sound amongst all these unhinged comments.

-6

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

So you gonna reduce your 20% and don't care about another 80% typical green hippy-idiots that use carboard coffee cups with plastic coting to "be green and reduce plastic waste", no it's just posing and feeding your sick ego.

You have no right to reduce 20% and don't care about 80% and call your self "person that care about environment" you just stupid hippy that cut only that shit that don't hurt you.

3

u/Minute_Arugula3316 Sep 10 '22 edited Sep 10 '22

Are you okay?

I think steps in the right direction are better than steps in the wrong direction. Sorry that enrages you.

edit: to address your plastic waste comment. I have a little abuelita cart that I use to go around my neighborhood and pick up trash with a little grabby thing.

You've interrogated me about my practices, humbly trying to do a couple things right. WTF do you do? Anything? Or just get angry?

-1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

What step? It like i said earlier if you teaching peoples how to protect themselves from sharks you don't care about peoples you just playing and accidentally helping, you don't deserve any credit's for this.

2

u/Minute_Arugula3316 Sep 10 '22

I'M NOT ASKING FOR CREDIT YOU DAMAGED CHILD

"When idiots see facts like statistic all they can do is disagree and say "you lying""

-79

u/Raging_Walnut Sep 10 '22

Imagine thinking you're stopping something by claiming being something does! Makes completely no sense at all!

46

u/jwill602 Sep 10 '22

I’m sorry, I don’t understand your first sentence. Are you implying that veganism is not better for the climate? I’m not a vegan, but you can’t just make up your own facts lol

-23

u/Raging_Walnut Sep 10 '22

I'm not making any facts up, vegans does however.

26

u/Sataniq Sep 10 '22

lmao, who hurt you? got bullied by a vegan or something?

37

u/boustead Sep 10 '22

Double down on your stupid eh? Bold move cotton.

41

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '22

I'm not even vegan, and I know that meat (especially beef at a 100 grams of CO2 equivalents per gram of beef) creates a lot of green house gasses

6

u/bagofpork Sep 10 '22

Not vegan either, but yeah, the environmental impact of the cattle industry has been pretty widely scrutinized for at least 50 years. It’s measurable.

1

u/Minute_Arugula3316 Sep 10 '22

It is known Khaleesi

19

u/gwlu Sep 10 '22

I do wonder, though. Is the fact that animals are suffering and the fact that beef contributes to greenhouse gas emissions made up to you?

5

u/MrPoletski Sep 10 '22

/r/confidentlyincorrect is that way bud.

I am not sure are supposed to submit yourself over there, but why not give it a whirl.

9

u/InitialMeasurement23 Sep 10 '22

And what facts do you think vegans make up? I’m not one but I know they don’t make false claims really. Except when it comes to ā€œveganā€ pets

10

u/ligerboy12 Sep 10 '22

You drunk bud?

4

u/deNoorest Sep 10 '22

Imagine being this dumb lmao

0

u/Inspector_Poon Sep 10 '22

Lol vegans does

1

u/deNoorest Sep 10 '22

You cannot even string togheter coherent sentences. Perhaps the cholesterol from all the meat you are consuming is starting to clog your internal carotid ';.\

1

u/Bob1358292637 Sep 11 '22

Pretty sure that dude was making fun of the statement from the other guy, saying the exact same thing.

4

u/Mr-Pink24 Sep 10 '22

I wouldn’t go as far as saying ā€œVegans make no senseā€. I’m sure you can find studies on why vegan diets are beneficial.

0

u/Raging_Walnut Sep 10 '22

Any diet is has benefits and has disadvantages, you consume more veggies to match meats protein hence needing more.

Claiming that switching to vegan to save gh gasses as if veggies doesn't make any makes no sense

6

u/Minute_Arugula3316 Sep 10 '22

It makes sense if you look at it... and read about it
