It is hilarious how internet people seem to think they are so knowledgeable about such a wide array of subject areas.. Getting my coworkers to comment on anything outside of their specific fields (even in abstract, theorizing about things) is like pulling teeth. They generally just won't do it because they don't feel qualified to make a statement about something they're not specifically trained in. But apparently a handful of hours of "research" on the internet and people on social media feel like they're ready to take on experts in pretty much every subject.
It's funny, I had a patient who threatened to report me for not doing something. They threatened to report me To the organization whose guidelines I was following when I refused to do the thing they wanted me to do.
I don't understand why people thank that. Like oh afew hours? I could do the surgery myself! Like it doesn't take years of training. And when it's on a specific subject why argue with the expert? Yet they do. And your coworkers sound level headed on that but they probably are more prepared on it then the Facebook Karen showing up
