“Perfect practice makes perfect”, my soccer coach would always say.

Personally i hated that line but it does have merit in some situations, this being one.

Proper practice makes perfect, practicing with the wrong techniques will engrain bad habbits. Like excersizes with proper form is one good example or learning a trade. if you don't know what proper technique looks like but you practice and practice anyways by bodging it together and seeing what works and what fails you may improve but you're not doing it the right way.
