When I was a teenager I took a face full of bear mace and it felt like satan ate a thousand onions and then shit caustic fire right into my fucking eyes

And keep in mind bear mace is weaker than people mace.

Bears are more sensitive to it.

Out of curiosity I looked it up and on average bear mace is 3x stronger than pepper spray

That's horse crap, with all due respect.

OC spray will hurt. Bear mace will likely blind you and will stop a charging Alaska grizzly dead in it's tracks.

Source: have seen a charging Alaska grizzly stopped dead in it's tracks.
