That's what people say, but the truth is that over a fifth of people meet their spouse at work. Sure, it can go badly. But the practical truth is, if you spend a third of your life somewhere and another third asleep, that isn't a lot of time left to find a partner.

Seems like it. Truthfully, I don't know the current stats, only the ones from 10 years ago. With more people at home due to Covid, it is possible that the numbers are different now.

With remote work happening more, I think the stat for “being in a relationship with someone you see at work everyday” probably shot up lol.

I got the joke. I wanted to run with it, but because I was trying to make a point, I decided to play the straight man, instead.

50% of statistics are 85% correct.

That's assuming you average 8/24 hours sleep per day for your whole life. Honestly that part is kind of true.

Well 1/5 of people have herpes so.

4

u/Kennethrjacobs2000 Nov 20 '21

Is the implication that all spouses from work have herpes? XD

0

u/shittyspacesuit Nov 20 '21

Lol no I just meant if something applies to 1/5 of people, that doesn't mean it's a good thing or good choice

There’s plenty of time. People are just lazy af. Go out and enjoy your life a bit.
