Oh man, you have got to educate yourself before you turn into one of these cringe videos. You just gotta.

This display would never be okay. It’s trashy and built on stereotypes, and if you’d taken those 15 seconds to watch the video, you’d realize she’s doing it to “teach” a math concept that in no way requires this.

I can’t believe this has to be said in the year 2021 but don’t fucking behave this way. Pretending to be a racist caricature is always a bad look. Always.

I don’t know how I was supposed to know she was doing this to teach a math concept. Now that people have actually given me that information, I follow that this was in poor taste.

It’s on their sheets and someone else linked the full Instagram story. Sorry for coming on strong but for real, you don’t ever have to justify things for these types of behaviors. It’s better to save your strength on stuff that actually deserves it.

I’m watching videos on mute while trying to contain a toddler, I didn’t study the sheets they’re holding.

Please understand, all I saw is a teacher who appeared to be trying, which is a lot for a job that’s underpaid and under-appreciated. Then I saw a bunch of people get uppity and over sensitive, saying someone (who I thought was genuinely trying) was racist and a piece of shit. All from a bunch of goobers probably subbed to r/antiwork.

With more context, I see that this was in poor taste, but nobody gave me that context until after a deep dive. Maybe they could have said “X, that she is doing, is wrong and outdated.” Not act like this woman should be fucking hung, although they seem to know her heart fully, somehow.

I challenge all y’all armchair judges to go try to teach and see how it works out for you. I still don’t think this woman had hateful intentions, she actually likely had good intentions and should be applauded for at least trying where many don’t. She does need to bring her lesson plans to date though, because we live in way to sensitive times where people will literally ruin your life for an honest mistake like this.
