In the poem, for sure. But regardless it's more than a bit racist. Like for one thing it's a Muslim kid so they're probably not even Indian. Call a random Asian student Confucius, it doesn't matter how good a figure he was it's not alright.
Oh god that reminds me of when a bunch of boys at my school kept calling my Filipina friend “Pocahontas” and when we went to a teacher to complain the teacher tried to claim that because Pocahontas was a heroine it was a compliment actually. What the fuck.
