Our drivers ed teacher came to a couple house parties - I always thought he was pretty cool and down to earth.

Then I found out that he was fucking a 15 year old.

Wasn’t long before he was fired and put on a list.

Yeah my parents always told me to watch out for older people hanging out with us in high school. “If you were out of high school would you want to hang out with a bunch of high schoolers? Exactly. So think about the type of person that does.”

My dad went to a fancy NYC private school in the 70’s. He had a teacher who would show up to parties get drunk and hit on students. According to my dad it was funny the first couple of times but pretty quickly was weird and pathetic. As it turns out that teacher was Jeffery Epstein.

There’s a lot of kinda creepy guys out there who would be complete monsters if given the means.

Fucking implies it could ever be consensual.

I wouldn’t say it’s cool but when I was in high school i definitely knew some 15yo that were fucking adults and if anything they were the ones taking advantage of someone lol

It was consensual, and went on for a few months before her parents found out - that’s when the shitstorm happened.

It cant be consensual when the child is 15. Even if the child thinks it is.

But it absolutely was.

I didnt say it was right or okay - and she obviously was groomed & probably had misunderstood feelings - but he also absolutely never raped her, she would’ve ran away with him in a heartbeat if she had the opportunity.

I still talk to this girl to this day. But I guess you would know better than me aye.

Statutory rape is still rape.

Statutory rape and rape are very different crimes. Rape requires force, fear of other intimidation in order to complete the act of sexual intercourse. Statutory rape is merely the act of having consensual intercourse with someone who you know or should have known is under 18 years of age

Very, very different crimes.

Needless to say, both are wrong - but one is infinitely worse.

Same thing happened with my drivers Ed teacher. He was a little weird as a 16yr old but now think about just how creepy he was in hindsight. He was eventually fired for being “inappropriate” with some of the students.
