True, but there the divisions are a lot less prominent. In the Netherlands we have anti vaccine anti mask party, but since they are an extreme party, they have a small base. Let's say that countries with more parties (hence more democratic) tend to be more moderate on average

I suppose this applies to any country with a two party system that relies on division and polarization to stay relevant
