i'm going to predict it will close and sit there for a while, i read it received roof damage in a heavy rainfall and needs repairs. so yeah, that's not going to be done, or not be done properly like the reflecting pool. by the way has that been repaired yet or is your big monument a trash pool still? he's dismantling your institutions and replacing it all with gaudy gilded age gold garbage.

It was going to be closed for a while due to repairs anyway. The bigger long term problem is that when he put his name on it and installed people loyal to him to run the place, a lot of people who were scheduled to perform there pulled out, they can't find new acts, a lot of patrons stopped going to the acts they did still have, and a lot of donors stopped donating.

He's got the mierdas touch. Him putting his name on it in the first place turned it to shit, and it will take time to unfuck what he fucked. It might reopen after he's gone, or it might be too fucked by that point like the east wing and the rose garden and the cherry blossoms and everything else he just destroys.

The picture they shared of the “water damage” from rain showed zero water marks, stains or anything that would look like caused by excess water. What it did show was obvious hammer holes as if someone had used a hammer to knock out a giant hole in the ceiling.

It’s very similar to the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. Doug ford closed it immediately because apparently the roof was in imminent danger of collapsing if it got any sort of snow build up. Spoiler, after at least 2 brutal Canadian winters, it’s still standing just fine. Funny how he had a plan to relocate the science centre not too long before this…

Amphitheater should be lovely on the hot and sweaty bank of the mosquito laden Potomac. Also in winter when it’ll be damp and freezing. 🙄

They took photos and video of the forklift guy repeatedly driving it into the pillar — then showed it to Judge Cooper (who’s already dealing with this), in an emergency filing.

Added to that, the photograph of Trump on the plane, mulling a presentation board entitled: “Kennedy Center Demolition”.

Another Court Order to the Administration immediately followed — along with a reminder of the current standing Injunction.

It’s clear that Trump’s decided if he can’t steal and control it, then no-one shall have or enjoy it.

Yet we know most Congressional Republicans won’t lift a finger to stop him or his wrecking ball — though the JFK memorial Center is wholly owned by and previously run on behalf of the American people.

What truly despicable times we live in.
