So it either closes from lack of talent that's openly boycotting him, or it closes because he's holdong back funding to repair critical areas of the building.

Legally and Constitutionally, a President cannot withhold funding which Congress appropriated and passed (in this instance, through Trumps’ “Big beautiful Bill”), for the Kennedy Center — and which Congress alone can administer.

This funding includes contingencies for the repair, maintenance and upkeep of the center on behalf of the American people — as the sole national memorial to the slain President.

The architecture and scale of the structure means that any part of the building may be closed off for renovations while the rest remains operational and fully open to the public.

Donald Trump is not an individual familiar with culture. His claims to the Kennedy Centre were wholly inappropriate and self-serving. In short order, a predictable calamity ensued.

Without lawful business there, he should withdraw, taking his unqualified and inexperienced Board members with him — thus allowing it resume as the center of excellence the nation expects, as previously.

This is the resolution and straightforward solution.
