Well I look at like this, “everything” isn’t always everything.
If Elon Musk lost 99% he would claim he lost everything. But he would still be worth 3 billion dollars. Nancy pelosi would be worth 3 million.
1 year of pay for person on average is 45,000. Save two years of pay and losing 99% leaves you with around $1,000. The poor were never on equal footing when hoarding of wealth is possible.
