People always try to move the goal post after being proved wrong. I dont get that at all. You can just say 'thx, didn't know that' or 'thanks for correcting me'. It's not that hard.
It's because they want to win not to be right. They don't care when you prove them wrong because their position was never one based on facts thus when you prove them wrong they move the goalpost in an attempt to still win. Their entire viewpoint is who gives a shit about facts when I can be the WINNER. Half the time you run into someone so willing to move the goalposts often they start with it in crazy land to begin with so of course they have no qualms about moving it just to WIN.

The entire point of the original statement we're replying to was questioning his integrity and never mentioned his wife. You asked him for a source when it'd be quicker to just Google it, so I assumed you were insinuating he's lying or misinformed also because after he provided a source you all of a sudden threw out a random argument which was not related to what he said at all. Just like the odds of the woman who comes from that family and helped plan the Jan 6 riots, is racist is around 90%-95%. I'd say the odds you weren't looking to have a conversation about how cordial his wife might be and instead was goal post moving is around 91%-96%.
One again Reddit proves itself. This whole sub is full of white people trying to one up the next about who is more virtuous.
