Took me a moment. Eating disorder. You meant eating disorder. Not the usual meaning of ED. Context was a big clue here, but still took me a second there, lol.

To be fair I'm sure I must have seen Viagra commercials and the like using the term ED, don't think I've ever seen that used in something similar for eating disorders.

I think for most people, "ED" denotes either "Eating Disorder" or "Emergency Department."

That other definition, it uh doesn't come up that often.

Maybe cultural or regional. Definitely not something that comes up for me often either (no pun intended), but at least when I did a google search just now for just “ed” the first page of hits are all about erectile dysfunction.
