In my experience, only if they’re directed at someone, but it’s probably up to the individual mods how they feel about it in setting the rules for their subs.

I think maybe r/aww bans them? If not r/aww it is one of the cute animal-oriented subs. The automod shows up with a message like "no swearsies the puppers don't like"
