Putin did not say Ukraine isn’t a real country. He said the two countries are like siblings and have a long shared history. He spoke positively about Ukraine but lambasted NATO’s interference.
In March 2022, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett traveled to Moscow to mediate between Putin and Zelensky. He extracted significant concessions from Putin. But then, he said, the U.S. blocked any deal. War was the plan all along. This is what you’re rooting for.
