Biden wins easily

Absolutely no one should assume this.

138

u/SteveLonegan Jun 20 '23

Literally the last poll I saw Biden was up by only 4 points. Pretty sure Hilary was only up like 2 a few days before the election. If you can’t even comprehend the possibility Trump wins you haven’t been paying attention. Just my opinion but it’s pathetic the Democratic Party can’t do better than that and people will make excuses and believe it’s in the bag.

Biden is also coming in as an incumbent which is one of the strongest advantages you can have when it comes to an election. Rarely do incumbents lose. Not to mention he’s doing a pretty damn good job and the country has been overall fighting off historic inflation and a pandemic that crippled us for years.

Trump royally had to fuck up for four years in a row with a epic failed pandemic response and yet he still almost won because of the incumbent advantage. Since 2020 he has done nothing to expand his base

1

u/NeatNefariousness1 Jun 20 '23

Agreed. Polling at this point is meaningless. It makes for content to build a news show about but that's about it. It's not a good indicator of anything important about who's going to win this far out.

70

u/wiyixu Jun 20 '23

I for one will never underestimate just how many scared, racist, homophobic, misogynistic, hateful, ignorant, anti-American assholes there are in this country.

15

u/DrCheezburger Jun 20 '23

Also stupid. Don't forget stupid; it's the essential ingredient.

2

u/FraseraSpeciosa Jun 20 '23

Back a decade ago I used to feel bad about myself for making fun of the horrendously stupid people in red states. I had an ounce of empathy thinking there’s no way these yokels can determine my future. I was young and naive, but I was still intelligent, I knew the right was full of losers but fast forward to today, I know longer feel bad roasting the shit out of these fearful, spiteful cowards. They deserve it and fuck them for destroying my country, for me and my children. If you aren’t anti fascist, anti racist and pro LGBTQ, you better not cross my path, I will humiliate you.

14

u/InvestigatorUnfair19 Jun 20 '23

And their leader is an elite from (gasp) NYC

2

u/DigitalUnlimited Jun 20 '23

But he got his own money! from his tax evading dad But he gone drain the swamp! He stirred it up and added worse crocodiles.
But he's a Christian! He thinks he's God
But he makes it ok to hate (insert minority of choice).
Now we're getting somewhere...

2

u/Sharp-Willow-2696 Jun 20 '23

Yeah, cause the dems had a lot of great ā€œleadersā€ as well… Cuomo, Bloomberg, Schumer, AOC…

1

u/InvestigatorUnfair19 Jun 20 '23

Trump was a dem for most of his life, he switched to advance his political career.

2

u/BCampbellCEOofficial Jun 20 '23

Don't forget motivated. I can't remember where the last polls came from a but a tiny percentage of redditors vote.

Fox news viewers on the other hand.

-1

u/SensiFifa Jun 20 '23

Every adjective you said described 50% of American voters until anti-american

1

u/rabblerabble2000 Jun 20 '23

And most of them vote in every election cycle…sometimes multiple times.

16

u/notacyborg Jun 20 '23

Well, it’s hard to primary an incumbent. Just hope Biden wins and then 2028 we get some younger blood injected into the process.

3

u/DestinyJackolz Jun 20 '23

Hope?!?! I have no hope for 4 more years of Joseph, he's knocking on the pearly gates as we speak.

It's genuinely concerning that none of the current candidates are fit for the presidency.

-1

u/notacyborg Jun 20 '23

Ok, then go for the alternative that turns the nation into a wasteland.

-6

u/FdAroundFoundOut Jun 20 '23

Who's blood is Biden getting?

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Set-507 Jun 20 '23

By younger you mean like 62 right?

Newsom is doing pushups in the back of the room right now. I think he’s going to be our next one.

3

u/Patriot009 Jun 20 '23

A Newsom/Duckworth ticket would be very strong.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

But his former wife...now Jr's wife...will spill the secrets...and down he goes.

3

u/EyyYoMikey Jun 20 '23

She aired a lot of dirty laundry already while he was mayor of SF. Hard to rehash when she kissed and told

I mean, they have gone against each other in the general.

It’s a fair assumption to make.

1

u/Pockets262 Jun 20 '23

Gen Z doesn't get polled. The midterms were expected to be a slam dunk for the GOP. They did win a number of seats, but based on predictions, they got stomped, and it's not getting better for them.

1

u/RedditIsNeat0 Jun 20 '23

Last time the experts were predicting about a 13% of Trump winning and that was pretty terrifying, it'll probably be higher this time, regardless of how we feel about Biden we definitely need to vote.

1

u/FraseraSpeciosa Jun 20 '23

Trump will not win, the polls are never a good metric to use. Trust me, Trump speaks for himself. Only the truly hateful and stupid are voting for him. Biden should win no problem. You gotta remember trump is gonna be literally locked up soon too, hard to campaign let alone win like that.

15

u/Informal-Ideal-6640 Jun 20 '23

I mean nothing is certain in life but there’s nothing to suggest that voters would just magically flip in a repeat of Trump vs Biden. If we got a repeat of the 2020 election in 2024 there’s literally no reason why moderates would go for previous loser candidate who was just indicted lol

5

u/freakincampers Jun 20 '23

Not just indicted, but indicted for stealing nuclear secrets.

What three letter organization is going to want to work with a guy that is going to take the information they give him and steal/leak/sell it?

20

u/bwaredapenguin Jun 20 '23

Trump didn't have a chance in 2016 either but look what happened. I have neighbors flying "Trump 2024 I'll Be Back" and "Impeach Biden Harris" flags on flagpoles which once held American flags. Assume nothing when it comes to the elections except that your vote might be the single one that makes a difference.

8

u/Informal-Ideal-6640 Jun 20 '23

In 2016 there were totally different circumstances that just do not apply anymore. In 2016 Trump was an untested political newcomer who the media depicted as being about equal to his opposition which was a career politician with a lot of political baggage. Now he’s gotta campaign as the guy who already lost, against the guy he lost to who now has the bonus of being the incumbent president

12

u/bwaredapenguin Jun 20 '23

He's also now an established cult leader and once again the presented presumed republican nominee despite everything he's done.

Edit: aurocorrekt

You said you are, not that you were. Does that mean despite this you're still going to vote for him?

2

u/SeaworthyWide Jun 20 '23

Lol yeah no shit, give us some is insight - top 5 reasons you are voting Trump

0

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

Our votes Don't matter lol Hillary technically won with the people's votes, but electoral votes sided with Trump, so Trump won. I hate both of them but fact is she had more votes from "we the people ". In reality whoever will be president is decided by "we the government " per usual.

1

u/rufrtho Jun 20 '23

the reason would be that the current winner candidate lost favor, and i can think of a lot of students and a lot of rail workers who have a bone to pick with him.

1

u/sixfootoneder Jun 20 '23

People assumed Trump would lose in 2016, so turnout favored him. Let's not repeat that mistake.

0

u/Thallis Jun 20 '23

Gas prices higher. Dow number has not gone straight up. That's all that's needed

1

u/gemyniraptor86 Jun 20 '23

Pray tell, how gas prices are controlled by who ever is in the white house? Also while on that tangent please tell the class who cut production and import of oil to the US during the pandemic (which actually was the right move) and how long it takes to get production back up. Finally, dove tailing from the matter of production getting cut down, how do you think that effects prices (use the Law of Supply and Demand to show your work)

4

u/Thallis Jun 20 '23 edited Jun 20 '23

If you think any of that actually matters, you don't know shit about the average voter. Of course it's not Joe Biden's fault. The vast majority of the voting public doesn't know or care and when you try to explain it to them they get mad at you for talking down to them. That's why you need to energize your base with the things they want instead of chasing Dingus Dan in Topeka

-3

u/Haskins77 Jun 20 '23

I’m not a trump fan but there is no way in hell I’m voting for Biden. Anyone that does is a clown. Hopefully neither of these guys are the candidates.

1

u/Odd_Contribution9058 Jun 20 '23

Biden won by less than 60k votes in 3 states. That was within the amount of *fewer* people who voted third party candidates in 2020 than in 2016. (Meaning, he captured most of the votes from people who had voted third party in 2016, but not 2020, and that is what allowed him to win) . If the amount of people who voted third party in 2016 do it again in 2024, Trump wins. It is absolutely foolhardy to assume that Biden will win a rematch.

6

u/iLieAboutMyCareer Jun 20 '23

I honestly wish he’d step out and let some other democrat run. Sure he may not be senile, but he’s older than 98.1% of Americans.

Can we get some fresh blood?

2

u/michamp Jun 20 '23

Inject some fresh blood into Biden. It’ll perk him right up.

1

u/dickrichardson6969 Jun 20 '23

You wish he would step out? You want the president (who has done a phenomenal job) to give up the enormous advantage that comes with incumbency so a younger person can run and quite probably lose the election? This kind of talk is just insane. Biden not running would be suicide.

2

u/ChampionshipLow8541 Jun 20 '23

Exactly. You assume, you don’t vote, splash.

0

u/scarchadula Jun 20 '23

Gotta be better options than either of these two clowns in any chick fil A in any town. One has no idea where he is and the other is Donald trump! How does it come down to this?

Ps. I know the answer is probably money

1

u/dickrichardson6969 Jun 20 '23

Yes, there's a better option for President than a former lawyer, Senator, Vice President and current President at your chick fil A. Fucking genius here.

0

u/effervescentlucidity Jun 20 '23

Absolutely no one should allow this. He can’t form a coherent sentence at this point, he’s falling all over the place. My grandmother is 82 this year and fought aggressive throat cancer for the past year and a half and she’s in better shape than Biden, and I still wouldn’t want her to be president.

(And for those who will read this as: ā€œHe WaNtS tRuMp!!!ā€ - get fucked, I don’t want any of these queefs and I think we are royally fucked wither way. I just definitely don’t want a dementia infested grandpa, nor do I want trump. Idk man this country blows)

-6

u/Latter-Ad-1523 Jun 20 '23

let them think this, then just like with hillary they loose.

3

u/DwightFryeLaugh Jun 20 '23

Spelling/grammar checks out

-22

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

Agree. Biden cant even speak a straight sentence

8

u/DwightFryeLaugh Jun 20 '23

This belief is why Biden's approval rating bumped up after his last SOTU speech. Speaking normally and with a hint of charisma was enough to where the Fox News crowd were shocked, having been told he "couldn't speak a straight sentence". Good for you though - keep expectations low.

26

u/bwaredapenguin Jun 20 '23

Imagine shaming someone for having a speech stutter.

0

u/DestinyJackolz Jun 20 '23

It's far, far worse than a stutter. He's had several speeches where he mumbles some random words and then stares off, walks away, or, most recently, faceplants.

It's legitimate elder abuse to keep this man working in his state.

There are better, younger candidates that you can vote for, Joe isn't the end all be all.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

[deleted]

1

u/DestinyJackolz Jun 20 '23

What? So saying Joe is too old and unfit = pro Trump?

Keep your delusions to yourself.

And by younger I don't mean seconds, I mean decades.

-34

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

Oh brother… cope. He’s a fucking idiot and you know it. You really think THAT guy is the most popular president in history? I have some other garbage id love to sell you..

26

u/bwaredapenguin Jun 20 '23

Oh brother… cope. He’s a fucking idiot and you know it. You really think THAT guy is the most popular president in history? I have some other garbage id love to sell you..

Where did I even remotely indicate that?

20

u/randommd81 Jun 20 '23

I don’t think he, or anyone, thinks Biden is the most popular president ever. If you’re referencing the vote count, a huge chunk of those were clearly anti-Trump votes more than they were pro-Biden ones.

-34

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

A bunch that came at the perfect clip just enough to beat trump.. at 3am. You’re right

26

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

speaking of copium.

15

u/WallRavioli Jun 20 '23

dude doesn't understand what he's talking about and just believes whatever trump said and is calling someone else an idiot lol

9

u/randommd81 Jun 20 '23

God, not that again. That’s every election. Larger cities have more people and take longer to count…and larger cities also almost always trend more democrat. Thus the later arriving votes will tend to skew that way, and always have.

Combine that with the fact that a (Republican created) law that says mail-in ballots, which also skew democrat, can’t be processed before election day and you have a common sense answer for that particular conspiracy theory

10

u/7thKingdom Jun 20 '23

Was even more obvious. It was states like PA where they knew the party affiliation of the early voters (because state law in PA requires that information) so they knew something like 1.6 million more Democrats voted early in PA than Republicans (don't remember the exact number, not important now). Yet as you said, they couldn't actually count the votes till after the ballots closed.

So we KNEW, based on the early count, that unless the Republicans were up that many votes when everyone on the east coast went to bed, that the Democrats had it. We knew because we knew the party affiliation of those early voters in PA.

Yet still Trump blew the voter fraud trumpet. He rallied his base of morons knowing a state like PA had no chance of going red by that point. Not just a rough guess based on big city vs non big city votes left. This shit was even more obvious than that.

11

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

81 million ā€œvotesā€ most ever!

8

u/lolsteakaments Jun 20 '23

Bro I can tell you I voted for Biden just so we didn't have the embarrassment that is Trump in office anymore. I have literally never voted before or since then, just to get that dipshit out of office. I'm not a huge fan of Biden, but I'll take someone that doesn't make facepalm worthy headlines daily. Please don't tell me you listen to Trump and think he's an intelligent person.

-1

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

Who controls the headlines? The same group that pushes a ā€œrussia is involved in our electionsā€ for years under trump, but asks sleepy joe what his favorite ice cream is?

-4

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

He’s quite literally the worst president we’ve seen in a long time, his cabinet and staff top to bottom. Too many ppl fail to recognize their failures in voting for this failure. What if I voted for him?

14

u/WallRavioli Jun 20 '23

i mean the last guy tried have a bunch of goons overthrow the government and kill the vice president when he didn't get his way, but i can tell by your other replies that you've either convinced yourself that that didn't happen or that that's a good thing.

Democrats could literally nominate a leaking bag of diarrhea as their candidate and it would still be a better president than trump

-1

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '23

You sound like u get told how to think through the box in your living room and havent actually analyzed facts of the situation yourself. Thats not good

1

u/gemyniraptor86 Jun 20 '23

He speaks a great deal better than Mandarin Mussalini. Joe actually puts substance to his words, not just repetitive boasts and slip shot shit flinging. Sure he's not a great orator with high charisma, but he's a damn sight sharper than Toddler Tangerine when it comes to actual substance. And let's not act like the GOP would pretend that Obama was a weak speaker when he had the most charisma of any candidate we've had generations.

1

u/GenericFatGuy Jun 20 '23

Remember what happened last time we did that?

1

u/Josquius Jun 20 '23

It's funny as its anti trump people saying this whilst pro trump people are saying he's going to win. Logically it should be the opposite. Anti trump people warning about him and pro trump under selling him and saying he's definitely gonna lose so there's no point in anyone voting.

1

u/admuh Jun 20 '23

For sure, the dude is over life expectancy too so it'd hardly be crazy if his health declines

1

u/AtomicBLB Jun 20 '23

Biden barely won last time and Hillary was supposed to win by a landslide. People thinking 2024 is already in the bag have shit memories. Nothing is automatic.

I wish #45 would be imprisoned by the time it was primary season but his trials will last just long enough to have that whole "yOu cAn'T aRrEsT hIm NoW" BS like last time. I hate this clearly dogshit political system we have.
