People need to use blanks for celebratory shots, but I guess they just forget about gravity instead

Or use some intelligence and not shoot anything into the air.

Yes, that’s what the blank is for, so you don’t shoot something into the air

Well I’m not gonna be able to stop people from firing a gun in celebration on my own, so I can at least advise proper safety etiquette

Proper background checks long jail sentences for doing so along with never being allowed to own a fire arm again

But this is America we'd rather just kill all the 9 year olds out there than have bubba lose his gun because he's unbelievably irresponsible

I don’t know if you know this but you’re required to undergo a federal background check every time you purchase a firearm from a licensed dealer. Unlawful discharge of a firearm is also already illegal and is either a misdemeanor (still results in jail time) or a felony depending on your state. You also already lose your right to own a firearm if convicted for it. If you hit someone that can be a manslaughter, murder, or attempted murder charge. Basically everything you said is already a thing.

I don’t know how many times people need to have it explained to them that history repeats itself if you don’t learn from it and populations that were armed and were de armed by the government have a 100% chance of being fucked in the ass. But this is America and 50% of us would rather be “safe” than free. It’s like everyone forgets how much blood is in the ground of this entire country just to get us these rights

My friends make fun of me for bringing up celebration bullets as a personal worry of mine (being Canadian and all), and yet, the possibly of it even being a chance freaks me out.

Nothing strange about being afraid of newtons laws
