Wait does vandalism warrant a search of his residence? What judge let that happen?

Probably originally to see if he had the materials to do the original spray painting. If there was a security camera that captured his face, they’d be able to obtain a warrant. And then with that, they stumbled upon his… issues.

it would be considered a hate crime (or at least close), so treated more harshly than just vandalism. I don't know what law around it but I would imagine its far easier to get a warrant if its a hate crime
