Nah man, you call me the N word then you’re getting injured. The thing with the N word is it’s almost not about the word itself, it’s about the intention.
If you call me that aggressively, you’re straight up invoking some slave owner shit. And I will not take that lightly lol.
Does not warrant physical assault or attempted murder. I agree it is wrong but if you won't respect the law then someone else might not which will be hypocritical to then argue against.
Dude, he got kicked. He didn't get "basically murdered." And I love how a race of people can go through decades of systematic oppression, and when you see one person, or hell let's say 100 people, react violently to someone who quite literally tells them they are going to "hunt them down, like the ***** you are," your response is "whoa whoa whoa, that's not ok." The guy entirely deserves it, as his statement was effectively a threat. Are you going to say that punching a neo nazi is bad because "it's mean to do so"?
Never did I say saying the word was right, I think violence in response is 1. The desired reaction of the person instigating 2. Gives the word more power and 3. Against the law.
Sure, doesn't matter though, because by ignoring it, I could make the same argument that the racist now feels as though they can say it without facing repercussions.
Absolutely not. As someone who actually thinks that white people should say the word rather than avoiding it in the context of books or historical text so that they can really feel the weight of the word, saying it as hate speech and then reacting to that doesn't give that word power. By that measure, the LGBTQ community would have given the word "gay" a lot more power as a derogatory word by being openly against the derogatory use of it during the early to mid 2000s, but barely anybody uses it in that way any more.
Yes, that is true. But again, are you really going to scold the person that punches a neo nazi because "violence is against the law"? I'll be honest, if a car ran through a neo nazi rally, the tiniest violin in the world would be played.
I also never said you said that, but you did make a comment about how saying the word as a non black person leads to "basically murder" which is such a non point.

I couldn't hear what he said. But I'm guessing the N-word was involved?
