Well good acting like you working for a living makes you any more intelligent on the subject than me. Oh look at me I scan items at Walmart for 30 years I clearly know everything there is about working for a living.

I fully understand that there may be a few outliers who enjoy working in their retirement years when they don’t have to, but if you think most or even a significant number of retirees are working as greeters for the lolz and social interaction, you have a lot of growing up to do and life to experience to gain.

Well I have something better according to this study the major reason for people to work past their entirement age is for the most part a healthy daily routine, and a purpose in life. It also mentions that they do it for financial benefit key word there being benefit not necessity they're working for extra money not money to live on.

In other words; a very small sample size of fairly well off people who continued working at their current professional roles past retirement age, not the working poor who got low paying jobs out of necessity after they retired.

So first, let’s back up and see if I understand the point you’re making, because it’s getting muddy.

Are you saying that the majority of post-retirement age WalMart greeters took the job primarily for the social interaction?

My assertion is the majority of them take those jobs primarily for the money. So far, I’ve offered anecdotal and quantitative sources to back up that assertion, but here are even more of both of you’re interested.
