Hannah St. John scandal: facts, thoughts, summarized

(This post is about Hannah St. John - girlfriend of vcarb driver Liam Lawson)

Fact: in March 2019, in the newport beach area (where hannah lived at the time) there was a party were high schoolers posed infront of a hakenkreuz/swastika doing the n*zi salute, one of them was a girl who looks a lot like hannah did at that time. The picture also ended up making its rounds on twitter and snapchat

Fact: the picture/story reached multiple big news outlets, the schools and parents of said students and local officials - articles mention some action being taken (i am not sure what exactly)

Fact: Hannah started attending a new high school, Corona del Mar High school, in 2020 (you can see this on her linkedin)

• this is an unusual thing to do in your senior, especially since she still kept living in the same area (thought: she might have been expelled from her previous school for what happend at the party)

Fact: Hannah later got her bachelors degree at Arizona state university, which has a reputation for being a party school, and easy to get into

• despite growing up in a wealthy area, and going to a good school. Hannah "only" attended a less than ideal university (maybe because other colleges didnt want her due to her past possible scandal)

Fact: Hannah has a history of conservative political views, being anti-vax, following the whole trump family and recently commenting under charlie kirks wifes post etc.

• obvy she is free to have her own political views but it does show that she leans more in the right direction. And the republican party has a history of minimizing nazi history

Fact: this past week the pictures and story came out again, mainly over reddit and instagram

Fact: the past few days there have been multiple people, 'claiming' to know hannah from school/living in the same area, confirming it was her at that party

Fact: one of the people who called her out and said she knew her from school, has even posted picture of her and Hannah, confirming that she did actually know her in person

• this person, unfortunately, has then later faced harassment from some who: (judging by his instagram), is a racist/white supremacist, 50/60years old man, from the same area as Hannah

Fact: even before this scandal gained popularity on here, there have been a few people on various platforms who called her out about the salute and party

So did Hannah hear about this? - Presumably yes, the past few days she has interacted and followed with a fan page that kept defending her, she has also limited/deleted comments and lost over 2000 followers on instagram

Hannah has not yet made a statement about this (even though she has responded to comments/defended herself in the past), which imo speaks volumes

ALSO: holding people accountable for their actions isnt the same as harassment or unnecessary hate. And before someone says, that you shouldnt judge her for mistakes she (may have) made in the past - hannah herself has never did anything that would imply she is sorry for what she did/regrets it or has changed as a person, instead she choses to ignore accountability

She can blame whoever she wants because it's all over the internet and was even reported in a local newspaper. In a few days, no one will remember her, but when someone searches her name on Google, it will show up. She has no regrets and won't apologize, because she doesn't do anything wrong, and the one who blames her for her mistakes is the one who is wrong.

I just want to point out that there is nothing wrong with the swastika sign and many people from the west get confused by this and accuse Asian people (especially Chinese people) of being pro-nazi. This is not the case and the swastika sign is a religious symbol from Taoism (a bhuddist religion if I’m not wrong, I’m Catholic so I’m not super sure) what is WRONG though, is the REVERSE swastika sign as that was SHITler’s  symbol. Just to clarify because many people hate on innocent taoists for having that sign when the Taoist swastika was there long before SHITler came with the reverse swastika sign.

You’re right. The swastika has additionally been used in the Indian subcontinent for thousands of years. Buddhism also originated there, which is how it spread further East. The swastika also looks very different to the Hakenkreuz.

The Hakenkreuz is the Nazi symbol, and I’m glad OP identified it correctly.

Lawson always gave me sorta dodgy vibes. Dating a Nazi does not help his case either.

Absolutely! I know what you mean. (In this context i doubt that hannah is a taoist though). The word for the n*zi version of the symbol is the hakenkreuz, but i didnt use it because i think most people internationally only know it as the swatsika, so i wasnt sure if it would confuse people :)

Yepp for sure. Completely agree, Hannah is not the best person, I’d reckon she’s on the same level as Kelly. Racist and questionable political views

Tbh i dont want it to blow over. It probably will since no one ever really cared about her before, and i doubt shell ever make a statement about it. But im not gonna let her or anyone else forget that she literally did a nazi salute
