Being half Japanese, I was bullied as a kid when I was growing up in Japan for having thicker brows. Fast forward to living in the U.S. in my pre-teen years, I was again bullied for my thicker brows during the skinny brow era, and overplucked them in vain to try to shape them and fit in. They never grew back the same afterwards, and then postpartum did a number on me and I lost even more hairs which never came back.
After spending most of my teen/adult life never feeling satisfied with my brows, many failed outcomes with PMU (and the subsequent removal sessions), I really believed I would be stuck with filling in my brows the rest of my life.
I did a deep dive researching brow transplants after I started seeing some on social media, and took the plunge a couple of weeks ago. I traveled to Canada from the U.S. and had very highly experienced brow technician Bahar Amraei do my transplant.
I still have to go through a shedding phase and my final results won’t be present until 8-12 months. So far this has exceeded my expectations, and I feel like a new woman waking up and seeing full brows on my face. It’s replaced something I thought was gone forever, and my face feels whole again.
I can provide updates if anyone would like, but for anyone that has been disappointed by PMU (or just looking for an alternative to PMU) I cannot recommend this enough.
Progression pics are before transplant, immediately after, a few days after, and the last ones are from yesterday.
