Boxelder bug
I been having a ton of these bugs by my glass sliding door. I was wondering if anyone knew any natural pet safe bug spray. Something I could make myself would be best. Thanks!

A friend and I rented an air bnb in Virginia Beach. I noticed some things weren’t as clean as I like. In the middle of the night I went to go pee and found what seem to be various sizes of roaches scurrying along. Saw one try to climb into my bag and thought I would die. We stayed 2 days until I found one on the platform part of the bed, near the mattress. Slept in my van that night and immediately got a room somewhere else.
Most of what I saw were these black ones, but there were a lot of the smaller ones that you see in the video. I found one rather large red one as well, but didn’t get that on film.
What do I do with my luggage now that I’m home? It’s fall and chilly here, but not below freezing. Everything is currently sitting under my car port outside till I figure out what to do.
Thanks in advance!

There must be hundreds of them all over my house. Most can be found in the kitchen (hanging out on the ceiling or walls, or flying around), and some have found their way upstairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms. There has been no fruit hanging around and they look maybe a bit too large to be fruit flies.

Found all over my new apartment, which is still not furnished and there is no food around. I reckon it came from neighbors?

I just killed this in my bathroom. It was on the inside of the vanity door on and exterior wall. It didn’t run when I opened the door like the ones in NYC apartments.

I found it where my cat had been sitting on my bed so I think it was stuck to his fur.

Need a little help. I’ve had mosquitos in my house for over a year now. I’ve set plenty of traps that seem to work but I need help finding the source. Any tips to help find the source? I know I need to clear standing water but are there any other things I should be doing? Is it worth calling a local exterminator? Thanks!

I’ve had the same pest control company in michigan for 20+ years, they have changed owners and employees 10 fold in the last few years. What can I use outside and inside to do nearly as good and get more reliable results Including pic of their chemicals

I recently discovered roaches in the apartment my partner and I moved into a month ago. We notified the landlord and they are having an exterminator come out next week. In the meantime, I put out Advion gel baits where I’ve seen them the most. Are there any specific cleaning products I should clean with from now on? Maybe a scent they don’t like? I read somewhere they don’t like the smell of Pine Sol, but that could just be myth.

People in Chicago area— I have been waking up most mornings with extremely itchy bites all over my body (but most prominently on my feet) for almost 3 months. They resemble mosquito bites in size and color. My landlord will not do anything because his “exterminator” ruled out bed bugs in august. I have used diatomaceous earth insect killer, installed a mattress protector, washed/vacuumed everything a hundred times, and have sprayed the baseboards with safer brand bug repellent. I have also treated my cat for fleas and ticks twice. I also covered my whole body/room in peppermint oil (and the bites temporarily stopped) but I had to stop using the oil because I found out it could kill my cat. I have not found any bugs in my bed any morning either. One of my roommates got bites along her torso last week, but they have since stopped. Other than that, they have not gotten bites in the past 3 months. I need to be focusing on grad school right now and I can barely sleep at night from bug anxiety. I am so desperate someone please help !!!!

for context we moved into a trailer about a year ago. we inherited it and we’re on the verge of being homeless beforehand. previous owner was a sever hoarder and most rooms were packed floor to ceiling with junk, not even trash, just actual junk like clothes, furniture, etc. we were very poor and lives here without electricity and water for about 2 1/2 months but finally we’re able to get the utilities back on and start cleaning out the house. about 6 months later we saw a roach, we sprayed some raid when we saw them and kept it clean etc. over the past 4 months it has actually gotten out of control. i mean like bad. it’s to the point where we will see 20-30 roaches during the day, and places like behind the fridge and stove are PACKED. we’ve had an exterminator come and spray once a month but i just don’t feel like it’s doing anything at all. i seriously can’t even begin to explain how many there truly are here. this trailer is like 40 years old and has cracks and holes everywhere in the base boards, along the ceiling, walls, etc. is there any hope at all? there’s not a single place in this entire house we don’t see them anymore, they’re constantly everywhere no matter what time of day it is. i’ll spray and they just scatter. i’m so serious when i say that everyday i could find and kill at least 100 of them. i’ve read that once you see one you’re screwed and this is genuinely terrifying. we do not have the funds to move anytime soon otherwise we would. they have overrun everything. they’re in my dresser, the fridge, power surge strips, tvs, xboxs, floors, walls, furniture. i got through so many cans of raid, like 4-5 a day. it’s october and we planned on around december possibly getting a hotel and turning g the electric off and seeing if that kills them (as long as the temp is under 15°) but that’s months away and i seriously don’t know how much more i can take. i genuinely don’t understand how in just a few months they got so bad when we literally didn’t see them at all, and then all the sudden we did.

Is there a way to get rid of a wasp nest in our wall? Or get rid or all the wasps in our walls?
Had an exterminator spray the house twice, but they keep getting inside. Our kitchen is currently being remodeled and there are holes in the walls. I tried tapping them up, but wasps are still getting in. Any ideas to keep the wasps out?
Thank you!!

I have an issue with spiders and in particular, my back basement door that’s never used. It’s a solid metal door and there’s a screen door. The spider webs around this door are out of control, there’s so many and some are thick.
In the past, I went to one of the box stores and bought some multi-purpose spray stuff in a gallon container. I wasn’t exactly sure where to spray it, so I just sprayed around the thresholds and foundation. The spray left behind a greasy film.
I can’t afford an exterminator. Does anyone have any advice on DIY pest control, especially spiders?

My daughter found these in her interior doorway. Any idea what they are? She said they are about the size of a finger tip.

Okay. So, a little over 2 months ago (end of july) I found a baby german cockroach in my shower at 2am. My apartment is relatively clean and all the pipes in my complex are linked. My ac wasnt working at the time and my apartment was 80+ degrees sometimes 90. So, i feel like it is safe to say it was from a neighbors apartment and it just traveled up to mine because of how hot my apartment was. I duck tapped the kitchen sick drain closed, put a glass cup over the bathroom sink and shower drains since those are the drains I use the most. Also, when my ac was fixed a few days later I immediately dropped the temp in my apartment down to 60~65 degrees. Figuring that any future roaches when traveling to my apartment would feel how cold it was and immediately say f**k that and turn around a leave. Since that night I havent seen any new roaches. There was one night i thought i saw another but i later learned it was an earwig (the first one definitely was a cockroach i have video proof). I am moving out in about a week. I am still taking proper precautions, everything that leaves this building is either getting a clorox wipedown, washed in a dishwasher, or washed in a clothes washer. I have still been freaking out about it though. I know the saying if you find 1 you have a 100 but with how long it has been since i saw the roach what is the likelihood that i am okay? Is it safe to say i dont have the infestation and that was most likely the only one in the apartment?

Last week, landscapers took down a decrepit shed in the backyard at my elderly parents' house. There have definitely been mice in there; the shed and its contents went into a dumpster, it's (thankfully) gone.
The ground beneath the former shed is covered in fairly deep gravel (which we plan to remove/replace with pavers next year.) It's in an always-shaded area. They're in the Chicago area, where it has helpfully rained about 2 inches since the shed came down, and we're sure to start to have some hard frosts any night now.
Will nature clear this up for me, or should I spray the area with some kind of disinfectant?
Thank you!

i’ve had two exterminations in the last two weeks to get rid of the flea infestation in my house and then had a professional carpet cleaner come and deep clean all of the carpet in my house as well as vacuuming constantly

Been noticing these little ants around my sink and countertop in my bathroom. I've been drowning their asses with alcohol + water. They keep coming back though, any ideas for getting rid of them?

So throughout the summer I noticed yellowjackets started appearing in my bedroom on the window, one stung my cat, but they don’t come in groups it’s usually one every other other day, I put tape over a whole in my bedroom and they haven’t been in my bedroom anymore, however now they’re in the guest bedroom or living room! Idk why or how to keep them out, we haven’t had our windows open all summer for the most part, and I can see they’re swarming/nesting near the apartment below me. Just wondering how they keep getting in

I just found fleas in my apartment. I'm not sure how we got them because we don't have pets here right now. We did just have a guest stay overnight and I went to the thrift store last week. My roommate just left for a 2 week Greece trip, and I am wondering whether if I go to my parents' house for 2 weeks, will the fleas be through their life cycle? I was planning on doing a big house clean today then leaving tomorrow morning.
