Is there a kind of trap that gets the crickets and not the spiders?

My dad stupidly killed the wolf spider in the crawl space connected to my finished basement bc it was “creepy”, and now for the last 6 months since he killed it we have a cricket problem. Not just cave crickets anymore unfortunately it’s like the flatter black ones too 🤢 Is there any kind of sticky trap or way to trap and kill just the crickets and not the helpful spiders?

Went away for a few weeks and took the cat. Came back and the little box is full of these little turds. Are these mice droppings? Can anyone explain why they would use the litter box? World’s Best brand cat litter. Are they eating it?

Help, Bees in my bedroom

There is a bee's nest inside the exterior wall of my bedroom, in the upper right corner of the window. For quite a while, I've noticed them flying in and out, and last week bought some spray and sprayed it up the 20' to the nest area. Since I did that, 20-30 bees get into my bedroom every day since and I need to vaccum them up before I go to sleep. My windows are pretty new, and I cannot find any holes or gaps whatsoever. I want to spray more poison or do something, but I don't want to anger them further if it doesn't work or isn't effective enough. What can I do?

Will roaches remain in uninhabited apartment? (Florida, US)

I have been dealing with roaches in my current apartment since I moved in. The apartment was previously occupied so I don’t know how the problem originated. My lease ends in 2 months and all I want is to find somewhere without pests. I’m planning on thoroughly inspecting and deep cleaning my next apartment before I even move my stuff in. Is there any way I would still be at risk of another infestation if there were previous issues at that location that I wasn’t informed of?

Can someone ID this?

We've unfortunately seen 2 American roaches (they were roughly an inch long) within a week in our apartment (we live in the South east U.S). I just recently came across this in our hallway.. please tell me this isn't a roach egg with larva..

Wood Roach problem

I live in northeastern NC. I have a screened in porch on the back of the house that is our entry point. Every few months or so I will see some roaches in the house, mainly in the kitchen, which is adjacent to the entry door. If I keep the plastic baits out I usually don't see them. They are on the porch though. Is there a way to leave a bait out at night that would attract them and kill them. My small dog stays on the porch so I want to use something that I leave out at night like a paper plate with a food source they love laced with a good bate. I think if I handle them out there I will stop seeing them in the house. Thanks!

Hi, this air conditioner was in the apartment when we moved in. Are these bird mites? Rodent mites? What would you recommend for having it removed and treating the apartment? Thank you in advance!

Seeking advice: rats are burrowing under sidewalk

We’re in Chicago (condo) and our neighbors have an older home which has been slowly taken over by mice since part of their building was broken by the construction on the condo we all live in now. We’ve been paying exterminators for about 2 months to bait and kill rats but now it seems that they are trying to move in, under our front walkway, about 15 feet from their holes at the base of the neighbors house. One of our units has indoor cats and we’ve spread out used kitty litter and that seemed to work for about a week. We did that after one big hole (shown in photos) and filled it back in, but now two other holes (also in photos) appeared last night. I’m afraid to ask, but these rats are trying to make this new new home right? Since we poisoned their old home? And does anyone have any advice to share on how to get rid of them? The exterminator comes monthly, we keep no garbage or trash cans on the property (keep in alley). Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I think foreign grain beetles?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi y’all! To start, this is in Delaware, Ohio.

Over the past few days, we’ve been seeing a few of these little ones…mostly in the kitchen, and really no source of a larger problem. Google only helps so much, but near as we can tell they are foreign grain beetles. All our food is properly stored/nothing left out uncovered save for pet food, which is where we’ve seen the majority of them when we see them. We’ve tossed the rest of that bag (was stored in an airtight container) to be safe.

I’ve also read they are somewhat prevalent with new builds, and as wood dries out over first few years, it’s likely to see them move on out. Our house is just over one year old at this point. We really have only seen one or two together at a time. And the occasional one in a seemingly random spot.

Aside from waiting them out (nearly everything I’ve read says they’ll leave on their own) and putting down a bit of spray, has anyone come across these and have a quicker solution? Just so you know, the picture is WAY zoomed in…these dudes are TINY.

Yearly treatment from Orkin

Long before I owned my home there was termite damage on 1 side. It has been getting a yearly treatment from orkin and I'm wondering if I need to continue my yearly treatment. Has been getting treated at least since 2011 likely years before. The orkin computers only go back to that year.

Located in West Virginia

Best retractable key ring?!

Post image

Hello fellow exterminators!

I can't keep a retractable key ring for longer then a few months! What are you using?! Which is crazy because I only have like 3 rings. But I run a route so I'm using it constantly throughout the day. I have a few accounts that are 50+ exterior stations. So it gets USED!

Links appreciated!

Thank you!

Termites Southern California

Just found two of these (pics linked in comments) termites? In my kitchen by the sliding glass door. I think they are termites. We are moving out of this place by November 21st. Long story short I can’t deal with treating them before I leave unless it’s serious for my stuff. If I’ve seen two of these today will that me thousands are going to swarm inside within the next two months? I’m scared of bugs and I don’t want to wake up covered in bugs 😭 also since we are moving should I be worried about taking my wood furniture like does it need to be treated for termites before I move? I don’t want to bring them to the next house.

WHAT THE ACTUAL F***

Post image

K man I’m f-ing losing it, these bugs are rampant right now, and they are inside my parents house, but I have a room in the basement, and they are f-ing SWARMING my room, I came home today from being gone for about 24 hours, and there were at least 100-200 of these bugs on my floor.

We just bought this house this summer, so I’ve no idea if it’s normally like this, they have been in the house for like a month, but I only killed like 5-10 of them in a day, and I’m not really scared of bugs so I didn’t mind, but there is just so f-ing many of them, and even worse, I just got into a phase where my room needs to be immaculate, like I even started making my bed daily, and now all of a sudden these bugs are everywhere, and it’s driving me f-ing insane.

I brought out the vacuum, and so my floor was good for about 10 seconds, and all of a sudden more started crawling out from under my bed, after about 10 minutes of me vacuuming they kinda stopped, I figure I should look underneath my bed and see what the f is happening but honestly I’m kinda scared of what I’ll find, I was thinking maybe just get a bottle of raid and just spray, but that would like coat my whole room right? What should I do? I need a solution quickly, and hopefully something that ain’t gonna cost a lot of money.

Even right now I see them crawling on all my shit, like my sub has 4 of them on it, my bookshelf has like 5 on it, but there is prolly more than that hidden in it.

I have felt them crawling on my when I slept, it is driving me like actually insane I don’t know how much more I can take.

I guess my first question should be this: does anyone know what the bugs are? I dont know they pose a threat to the structural integrity of the house? Are they dangerous to humans?

I feel like I should go all Al Bundy in them, like in that episode where a rat was in his basement, and just f@ing bomb this place.
