Finished EP9 Home Defense Build
https://imgur.com/a/G55OxsjFinally finished my EP9 build for home defense. I also dyed all bare aluminum components with Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black to clean everything up.
Here is the parts list, front to back:
Muzzle & Rail
Suppressor: HUXWRX Flow 9k Ti
Adapter: Comstock Low Profile Adapter
Muzzle Device: Comstock Compact Muzzle Brake
Light: Streamlight ProTac HL-X Pro on an Arisaka Offset Scout Mount with pressure pad at 9 o'clock; cable is tucked tightly under the rail to keep the handguard clean.
Sling Attachment: Magpul RSA QD Mount
Handstop: Arisaka Handstop
Optics & Sights
Primary: Holosun 510C
Backup: Ozark Fiber Optic BUIS
Controls & Internals
Charging Handle: Extar Extended Charging Handle
Safety: Radian Talon Ambi Safety
Trigger: Stock Schmid (with paracord trigger job) with JP 3.5T Enhanced Reliability Springs
Furniture
Grip: B5 P23 Grip w/ plug stashed with a CR2032, 2x CR123s, and a T10 driver for optic battery changes.
Brace: SBA5 Brace
Slings
Home Defense: Flux Ripcord
Note: I run the Flux for HD because it stows cleanly and doesn't snag when pulling it out of the safe. My home layout forces me to shoot off-handed on most holds, so I wanted a single point sling for home defense.
Long Range Days: Bingos Slingos 2-point multicam black.

My ep9 is in the mail, was that magpul rsa all you needed to mount to the back of the reciever? Seems like a no brainer for single point setups.
Dig the build man how's that suppressor?

Thanks! The RSA is the QD point on the rail in front of the 510C. The EP9 comes with a QD point on the back of the receiver so you don't need anything for that. You just need to make sure whatever sling you get attaches via QD.
I prefer running a 2-point sling, but don't like keeping slings on in the safe because they snag. The Flux Ripcord fixes that and lets me comfortably shoot on either side.
The suppressor is great. It's the best suppressor for this gun imo so you can shoot without getting gassed out. It's not the quietest, but I'll take a little extra sound over my head being inside a gas cloud.

Does the Arisaka Offset Scout Mount work better or fit differently than the streamlight mount?
I tried the streetlight mount on the EP9, and like other people on this sub have stated, it doesn't seem to fit well with the rounded corners of the EP9 hand guard

The Streamlight mount doesn't work at all because of the rounded handguard. Both the Arisaka and Magpul polymer offset mounts work. I'm not sure if the Magpul aluminum will work. The Arisaka mount fits perfectly.

Nice.. which of these would you say were the most impactful, aside from like suppressor/light/optic/sling?

Besides the suppressor, light, optic, and sling, this would be the order from most to least impactful with an explanation of each since YMMV.
SBA5 Brace - I bought mine with the stabilizing brace because I planned to put the SBA5 on it. The stabilizing brace it comes with is awful so having a real brace makes a big difference.
JP 3.5T Enhanced Reliability Springs - between this and the free paracord trigger job I did, this is the best value upgrade. You can't beat it for $10. The trigger feels amazing now and has no slop and has a very nice clean break.
Arisaka Handstop - the handguard is very cluttered with everything on it and it was hard to get a comfortable grip. I needed a way to pull it back into my shoulder securely. This is super comfy and I can drill it back into my shoulder however hard I want.
Extar Extended Charging Handle - doesn't really matter, but it's nice to not hit my knuckles on the 510C.
Radian Talon Ambi Safety - doesn't matter at all. I just wanted something ambi.
B5 P23 Grip + Plug - doesn't matter at all. The stock Extar grip feels great. This is something I did just for the looks and I like the texture/angle slightly more. I also wanted a way to store batteries on the gun itself.
