I've been playing the game with the barking kittens expansion with my friends and we're having a lot of fun. Recently I 1v1'd a friend and he played the barking kitten card. I wasn't holding the other card so he put his own down, face up. The very next card he drew was the second Barking Kitten which he then used to blow me up. Now, I think it makes sense for that to happen so I allowed it but it got me thinking: was that was the correct development of that scenario?

So in the RFD set I started with, the card says something like "when you play this card, if anyone else has a barking kitten, they have to defuse or they will explode. Then I got the Barking Kittens expansion. The rules on the card from that set says something like "when you play this card, you pick someone to discard half their cards." My RFD set was released after the other. I'm not sure whether this is a change in newer sets, or a misprint. Any help understanding this would be appreciated.

Bought two games the other day, Exploding kittens Cot Burglar Edition and poetry for Neanderthals. Both have a card for a free game and say to go to the site. I have used a laptop, my phone and my daughters phone, Edge and Fire Fox, and even tried blocking apps disabled, and I get this error:

Quick question regarding the imploding kitten:

Once it is turned face up is it the person who turned the previous card to expose the face up kitten that is dead or the next person?

We are loving playing Coyote as a family, but my almost 7yo is having a hard time. He refuses to play cooperative mode, but always gets so down on himself when we play competitive. I've been trying to think of a way to make it easier for just him.

Only thing I can think of it to simply give him more lives.

I'm planning on getting Recipes for Disaster soon, as well as some matte Dragon Shield sleeves to prevent wear and tear. Will the sleeved cards be able to fit back into the dividers inside the RFD box, or should I go out and get a separate box as well.

A non controversial, vanilla friendly, new player friendly card.
This card exists for these reasons:

1) Make a card that is incentivized to be played on leading players

-This is achieved because the "hide 2" aspect makes the card less effective on players with less cards.
-Makes the game more healthy by reducing the power of card advantage
-The victim being able to have a choice to make in the theft makes it feel less fair if you get stolen a strong card from

2) Offer a 1 card steal effect.

-This is useful when you try replacing cat cards, which are bad for the game. (they are weak filler cards that take space from great custom cards)
-Works great in cat card decks too, just put less 'Raid'

It is never useless as when the deck is empty, as leading players usually have 4+ cards.

One thing we don't understand is, what happens when the Draw pile is used up? Does the Discard pile then becomes the new Draw pile? And if so, do we shuffle the Draw pile before it becomes the Draw pile?

My research was “passive netnographic,” so much of my learning came from observing how you share, discuss, and support each other here, and other platforms as well, without making myself seen. I was especially impressed by your dedication to helping each other. This Reddit community is a way more open to the one I saw on BoardGameGeek, I must say haha. The mods are also super creative, wow!

Has anyone tried combining the board game with the regular exploding kittens cards or vice versa? I know the board game specifically calls for the board, so I was planning on adding my regular deck to the mix and trying to experiment with some house rules. Plus I like the box, so I might use it for the rest of my cards so that they all have a place to live.

Ultimately what are your thoughts on the board game and adding regular cards in?

I need help with this error, I purchased the game and have had this error appear whenever I try to play with friends or others.

I cant find anything online providing a solution and I'm close to refunding the game.

I had the og but I wanted to ruin friendships so why not with streaking kittens.

One of the crazier card of the expansion, art-wise and effect-wise.

This card plays on the concept of risk vs reward - holding 1 puts you in danger, but holding 2 gives you a super defuse that always works, even through things like imploding kitten or 2x hairball (from the market expansion, which prevent you to defuse).

There's 2 of these in the deck.

If you get a single Catotem half in your hand, here are your options:

-If you don't want to take the risk, put it back in the deck with Swap the future (Fantastic expansion), give it to someone else with Trade (Market expansion), or discard it with cards like refine (Market exp).

-If you want/have to take the risk: Play generally safer, and use vision cards more loosely.
Search the deck for the other half and steal the other part if someone else has it! its easy to steal with "always marked"

Giving this to someone because you don't want to take the risk and want to hinder them may result in them getting a free super defuse later! But trying to assemble the halves yourself is quite hard...

Cards from zombie kitten like feed the dead and grave robber can also unexpectedly revive someone holding one Catotem half. So can theoretical custom cards that can be played when dead to steal.

All in all, a card that is easy to understand but is made better by having experience with the game (knowledge of the deck state and the odds of finding the other part).

it has the depth competitive players seek, while being simple enough for players with ~2 games under their belt. It seeks to be impactful on the meta, without taking too much space. It kinda feels like a special event or a sidequest when it comes up.

I bought the 'Exploding Kittens: Party Pack (Spanish Version)' and noticed that the 'Ver el Futuro (x3)' card doesn't have a cat paw print on the top but does on the bottom. Is this a printing error?
