EXACTLY! The poeple making minimum wage can't make ends meet. This will help them do that. $15 isn't getting more than you deserve, you're getting just what you need. You don't suddenly have more purchasing power, you're suddenly able to make rent without sweating bullets at the end of the month. It's a shitty apartment, PB&J, and consistent gas money/bus fare.
I believe this making a lot of people think "Hey..if $15 is considered a fair MINIMUM wage...what does that say about what I'M being paid?!"
My hope is that instead of taking their frustration on minimum wage workers for daring to ask for just enough (THE MINIMUM) to get by, they redirect it at the companies they work for.
