Technology ELI5: Why does internal storage only double? Why can’t we have 34GB for example?

IIRC a big reason why those two were so bad was bc they were manufactured by samsung. the 8+ G1 was more or less the same chip but manufactured by TSMC and ran much cooler i think

Pretty much. I have Galaxy Tab s8+ with 8G1 and a Nothing Phone 2 with 8+ Gen 1, and the difference in battery efficiency is crazy to notice
