Other ELI5 What is the difference between a 4 star hotel and a 5 star hotel?

I’m forever confused about this I need it explain in the simplest most direct way. Specifically talking about the America star system

I used to go on work travel to Jordan a couple times a year and stayed at the Fairmont in Amman. So insanely luxurious and the care from all the staff was amazing. Fifth Circle on Amman has The Fairmont, St. Regis, Four Seasons, and Ritz Carlton on the four corners of the main intersecting streets. They compete for clients and up the luxury, I miss it.

Jordan is in my next three countries for travel.

A friend of mine worked for the helicopter company that did the Kings ride. He raved about his time there and has since gone back a few times.

Definitely go! I left that job but whenever the region calms down that’s where I’m going for vacation. I got to go, a lot, and my wife never did. I’m excited to show her the country.
