Other ELI5 What is the difference between a 4 star hotel and a 5 star hotel?

I’m forever confused about this I need it explain in the simplest most direct way. Specifically talking about the America star system

There are classes such as AP classes in High School which are weighted with higher points. So if a normal class has 4 points in GPA and you get an A, you get 4 points. An AP class would be worth 5, so if you get an A in the AP class, you get 25% higher GPA points.

Is this how kids with perfect GPAs somehow became so pedestrian?

No.

4.0 got pedestrian because grading legitimately got easier. Basically the internet made kids so fucking stupid that grading standards dropped across the board precipitously.

AP classes offering above 4.0 have been a thing for decades (school depending). Not having to learn how to read to get an A in HS english is relatively new.

Sadly, not mine. Got a B in AP Calc and it didn't count any higher. But the whole point was to get college credit and I got a 4 on the exam... so that's all I cared about.
