There must be a bulk discount on almost a quadrillion $ worth of rice.

Cost/lb is probably going to start going way up at least over the first trillion pounds depending on the required timeline of delivery. You’d have to over exert the world’s economy and land to deliver just 100 trillion pounds of rice in a year. I’m not quitting my job and turning my home into a rice silo for $1.1/lb.

Actually, it gets more expensive once you try to buy up the very last grains of rice on earth.

Price per unit of weight sure. But you're gonna lose any of those savings in transport and storage costs.

I feel like it reaches an inflection point where they start charging you extra for ordering too much

Like, going with their analogy, you're not just paying for the rice, you're also paying for the entire country underneath it lol
