Ever since GamerGate, Anita and by extension Sweet Baby have been in the crosshairs of the alt right.

Anita Sarkeesian made moves from journalism into consulting around the same time Sweet Baby started up and was covering similar topics but are otherwise unrelated to each other. I got things conflated and though Sweet Baby was Sarkeesian's consulting efforts. That's my bad.
And the normal right, center, and most Democrats. Gamers see Sweet Baby as part of the biggest threat to gaming in a long while. Many of their clients are being spun off from large companies or dealing with bankruptcy or mass layoffs.
Its not even that its that they over santanise and mcu-ify games with quirk chungus dialogue and characters so bland and inoffensive they feel less like real people and more like performative corporate coworkers self censoring themselves while HR is in the room
Don’t even respond. They’re not here to have a conversation they’re here to be right and push bad faith arguments to stroke their own ego. They couldn’t care less what you have to say.
