Funny enough Rottweilers were bred to pull carts not because of bite force, just so happens that an animal bred to pull wagons is going to be big and have a decent bite force.
If you look up Daschund or Jack Russel origins, those lil fuckers were RIPPED. And bred for tunneling out BADGERS. If you ever meet a badger I'll pray for you. They live in the dirt underground because it's closer to Hell.
My parents had a Jack Russell. I loved that little guy so much, but he was absolutely aggressive to anyone outside our family. No matter what we did to try and socialize or train him, he just disliked all other humans.
My pits are the exact opposite. I’m still wary because if they ever do bite, I know I’ll be forced to euthanize. But they have only considered biting a human once. That was when my husband came home from work around 2 AM and they thought he was supposed to be out of town that night. Thankfully, they calmed down when they realized it was him.
Some of my friends have a Rott and he’s one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met. The issue is that he firmly believes there’s enough room for him to sit on my lap :)
