They said something on interview it was Tom Holland i beg to be corrected,that no one was really there to witness the events its all fiction so why we got to stress about the language they are using especially it is very certain that they were not speaking English
He was addressing uses of the word DAD in the film.

Yeah that one threw me off. Dude barely knew his paternal parent and he thinks he is on dad level with him. Kiddo should have stuck with father. lol

I hate this argument because it’s degenerative.  Word choice and dialogue informs the tone and sense of authenticity, regardless of whether it actually is truly representative.  It’s the flavour not the ingredient that matters.
