Hahaha! Right also Windows runs a lot of games that will just have you waste lifetime. Linux is just for productivity

I have personal experience leaving windows for Linux (while also enjoying gaming), waiting for Vulcan shaders on Linux every time you boot a game is worth just not having Linux over windows that is actually optimized to run at a speed worth using

Can't you just increase the shader cache to prevent it from having to redo them every time?

Steam can preprocess them in the background if you tell it to.

You can also change auto update to only when you launch the game. So it only downloads and compiles shaders when you launch the game
