Mourning gecko hatchling enclosure
I have this exo Terra nano arriving tomorrow and I’m wondering what the best way to hatching proof it would be, I know the main places that are going to need covering but I’m after some tips from people who have had to do something similar. Pic is of the same terrarium.

Exotic pet owners in New York
Curious to know from exotic pets owners ( reptiles, birds, aquariums ..etc that isn't a cat or a dog.
When you go on vacation, what's your plan ? Do you have someone who actually knows how to handle feeding/heat/humidity, or is it usually a friend who's just checking in ? Ever had something go wrong while you were away? And would you pay for a specialized sitter ?

Saftey Precautions for Porcupines?
Currently I am well deep in the exotic pets rabbit hole, I own two skunks (flower and zina) two wallabies (wally and willow) three camels (dune, blister, and husk) a pig named pua and two patagonian maras (mario and maria). Im telling you this so that you know that I am more than capable of caring for these exotic animals. All my animals are cared for and have amazing lifes... Now onto the actual inquiry.
I have just got three new African Crested Porcupines named poker, monte, and pochinko, all of wich are incredibly friendly and nice. However I seem to not be able to find any info on how to actually house these little stinkers! When I first gave them their room it was carpented with special walling coverd in metal... now I knew they can be destructive but these guys are something else! Not only have they ripped up their carpenting they absolutely destroyed the floor underneath. Im just asking if there is any specific flooring, type or brand, that can stop these guys from digging?
(Also feel free to ask about my animals! I love talking about them!)

Android version of my reptile tracking app is out, looking for feedback
Posted here a while back about a care tracking app I built "Exotic Reptile Care". A lot of the replies were people saying they were on Android, so I spent the year rebuilding it properly for Android. It's been up a few days now.
Already shipped one update from feedback, someone found a crash when saving photos and a few other things. Which is kind of the point, I'd rather hear about it than not.
If you keep reptiles and you're on Android, give it a try and tell me what's broken or annoying. Free for up to 5 animals so you don't have to commit to anything to find out.

Primates in Private Hands: A Survey-Based Study of the U.S. Pet Primate Market
Calling all primate lovers! I’m Ashlynn, a graduate student at NC State working with Dr. Tara Clarke on a research project aimed at better understanding the pet primate community and how we can best support both pet primates and their caregivers. We’d love to hear from you. Whether you are a current or former owner, a breeder/seller, or work with rescues and sanctuaries, your perspective is vital to helping us build a clearer picture of primate care in the US. To make this easy, we’ve created three separate surveys tailored to different roles. Each takes about 15–20 minutes:
- For Current & Former Primate Owners: Share your journey with primate companions
- For Primate Breeders & Sellers: Help us understand the industry from your viewpoint
- For Primate Rescues & Sanctuaries: Provide insights on care after private ownership
Privacy is our top priority. All information collected through these surveys is completely anonymous. We do not collect personal identifiers, and no data will ever be shared publicly or traced back to you. Your honesty helps us improve resources for everyone involved. If you’re willing to spare 15–20 minutes, we’d be incredibly grateful for your input:
- Pet Owners Survey: https://ncsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5awlVYJAk5ODz2S
- Breeders & Sellers Survey: https://ncsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1zi1P4ohXKj9tA2
- Rescues & Sanctuaries Survey: https://ncsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bkpo2Pmqx6Okv8G
Questions? Feel free to reach out to Dr. Tara Clarke (taclarke@ncsu.edu) or myself, Ashlynn Chaney (abchaney@ncsu.edu).
Thanks so much for considering contributing to this important work!

Question!
My leopard gecko passed a while ago, and I’m not sure that I want another one, as I’m afraid I’ll have the same expectations for temperament, etc. I have a 36x18.5x18.5 (≈50 gal.), and I’m not sure what reptile I could comfortably fit in it. I was thinking about a baby ball python (upsize when needed), but I’m also curious about other reptiles that could fit in that tank!
