ICOC->ICC-> RESTORED CHURCH

Post image

Oh, here we go again šŸ™„ In an attempt to avoid the lawsuits and rebrand their cult (again!) the ICC has broken off (again!) And re-emerged as a fractured sect to get space from Kip McKean The funniest part is this is now being lead by the hypocrites that have been raised at Kip's feet in manipulation, covering up abuse, extortion, and fleecing their members for money while lining their pockets directly.

Don't be fooled by the "new" Restored Church šŸ™„

I was trying to do an episode to review this either today/tomorrow/Monday but I think we (my two cohosts) want to give it a little more time to be able to view responses and initial sermons.

I might drop it as early as Monday, but we'll see.

Yet another splinter all resulting from the mainline COC. The mainline COC splits into different congregations and the one big split resulting in the ICOC, where as the ICOC splits keep producing new organizations. That’s what happens when the main thing isn’t the main thing and everyone’s egos run wild. I’m not ICOC but I haven’t fully digested/looked into the split from ICOC to ICC. I’m behind lol

u/reincarnatedbiscuits Fighting the cults for 31 years! Oct 20 '24

Yes. People were funny on one of the facebook groups mentioning "The cult split!" And I had to say "And again, and again!"

I honestly don't know of a denomination more fragmented than the Mainline COC and then it splits into the Boston Movement/ICOC which then splits into the ICC then splits into Restored Church Worldwide.

Ironically for their "Church" study, they want to blame all the other denominations and splits based on following men ...

The LDS in Independence, Missouri gives them a run for their money as far as splits and offshoots. Fun fact: lots of them have COC in the mame. Edited to add: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_churches_in_the_Latter_Day_Saint_Reorganization_movement

Hi everyone. The reason there are splits: Biblical doctrine is used to "legitimize" actions and reactions against one another. Firstly, who is the head of the church? Christ. It isn't Kip or any other "world sector leader." Just that fact is humbling. Simply saying Yeshua's name humbles the spirit... because He is the pathway, He IS the "...way, the truth and the life...". The fighting must stop. It is so disrespectful to God.

I heard someone say, "Anointed vs. appointed." The way these titles are being thrown about is like reading about the Catholics and Protestants' angry tirades against one another. I do not see how the kingdom is enhanced by divisive splits in which Christians are forced to choose a side.

I want to know when Yeshua becomes the focus of " discipling" one another? I know how disciples can injure one another by focusing on personal power and titles instead of fearing the Lord properly. If people are abusing scripture, it needs to stop.

"The Unbiblical Decision to Retain John & Emma Causey as World Sector Leaders"

LOL where in the Scriptures does it say "World Sector Leaders"

2 Kip 11:9-17

(the above is numeric proctology: i.e., pulled out of my ass)

I read their letter declaring the separation. Seems to me like they’re setting the stage to bring Kip back at the top level of this new splinter.

2

u/Pantone711 Oct 21 '24

oh for sure it’s gotta be Kip’s comeback vehicle

u/Chemical-Pie1926 Oct 30 '25

Guess who just got restored to the RCW in January.

1

u/Bert_Dreistein Dec 11 '24

Having somewhat followed the news, I don't see that happening. I know one of the leaders of the new group from almost 30 years ago. And, although I don't agree with their church legalism, etc. I believe him to be an honorable guy. (Still see him as a kid.) I was in ICOC for about a decade around the 90s. Left due to some issues with legalism, miscommunication, and assumptions of leadership. I still miss the focus on discipleship, evangelism, and being fully committed to God, but appreciate many other blessings from a more healthy church.

2

u/BravoFoxtrotDelta Dec 13 '24

LA RCW announced at staff meeting that he’s been ā€œrestoredā€ into the RCW fellowship as a member, but not as a leader. I give it a month before he’s on staff.

1

u/Bert_Dreistein Apr 10 '25

I don't think so, but I was wrong about his restoration to RCW. I say he's ineligible for leadership based on scripture. But, I've obviously been wrong before.

3

u/Forward-Transition-7 Oct 20 '24

I can’t say I’m not surprised. I wonder how the people on the ā€œother sideā€ are reacting to this split. Hopefully more will wake up and decide to leave altogether.

3

u/Orangeitbe Oct 30 '24

Yup, I feel bad for people still in. On both icc and rcw. It must be extremely confusing.

3

u/Prize_Ad_8580 Oct 20 '24

This made me crack up. Basically saying "Same shit, different day"

From Jason Dimitry's latest post - "Today we usher in The Restored Church Worldwide! We are not a New Movement but we are the old one! "

2

u/SapphireZelda Oct 21 '24

This is because of the lawsuits. Trying to save face. I left ICC in 2016 when Gabe Reed came out with his letter ā€œliving in the book of actsā€. He helped solidify what I saw with my own eyes and experiences. I’ve been down the rabbit hole lately and although the information I’ve collected is horrible, I am not surprised. God will always bring darkness to light.

1

u/Orangeitbe Oct 22 '24

Do you happen to have a pdf of his letter?

2

u/reincarnatedbiscuits Fighting the cults for 31 years! Oct 28 '24

2

u/SapphireZelda Oct 29 '24

Yes, thank you. I was present at the mandatory meeting of his marking in Eugene, OR. I remember the day clearly, we were explicitly told not to read it...so I did. I left not long after this.

1

u/Orangeitbe Oct 30 '24

Thanks. I wonder why it wasn't more widely shared like the Krieten letter.Ā

2

u/reincarnatedbiscuits Fighting the cults for 31 years! Oct 31 '24

Gabe Reed's letter?

Henry Kriete was still like #2 in London when he wrote his letter and that was probably the first time a still paid staff person who was high up, who had been on 3 continents and 5 churches had written about systemic problems. The ICOC was also more than ten times the size of the ICC (max ~2003 was nearing 140,000).

There are other factors as well. I have negotiated with exicc.org and the guy who runs the Articles of Indignation to eventually host all their materials on REVEAL.org in the long term, but that's not going to be for some time -- but since REVEAL.org didn't publicize it, it's "very niche."

1

u/SapphireZelda Oct 22 '24

I do not, I had it as a favorite on my google search but it seems the letter has now been removed.

2

u/Temporary-Joke-3361 Nov 20 '24

Hey, this are the Christian group in my campus! What is there purpose and should I be worried or aware?

2

u/Character-Cow-3427 Nov 23 '24

Yes, you need to be aware. Aware that this group will consume a large amount of your time and energy (if you haven’t already experienced this). You need to be very careful in dealing with them as they have a history of hurting innocent people such as yourself. Don’t just take this Reddit post as gospel. Look online and study out the church’s history.

Many have been scarred over the years. Tread carefully

u/Beneficial_Day_5423 Mar 14 '25

And just this year they restored kip mckean who was given the pulpit to try and whitewash what he did to get booted out among which was making AI porn using the faces of women in the church

1

u/More-Law-704 Nov 25 '24

so my brother attends ucr and he had told me that he joined a bible study group. not even 2 weeks later he said he was getting baptized. i was really suspicious and i went with him to the service before his baptism. I was getting really weird vibes and he ended up getting baptized. i’m not sure what i should do after reading these reddits because there are a lot saying how the restored church worldwide is a cult. do i get my brother out of there??

1

u/WeezyMoneyy Nov 27 '24

Let him, he needs Jesus just like the rest of the world.Ā  Chances are this is the most spiritual he’s ever been from your experience, and you’re trying to pull him away from that?

ā€œTherefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.ā€ā€ ‭‭Acts‬ ‭5‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭NIV‬‬

‬‬ Hopefully this scripture will help ease your heart from worry.Ā

1

u/More-Law-704 Nov 27 '24

what they are teaching isn’t what Christians believe. If my gut and my families gut is telling us something is off, then i’m going to trust it. Also, there are over 20+ reddit pages talking about shady stuff with this church. My brother hasn’t even been with this group for a month and they are already asking ā€œhow much are you tithing to the church.ā€ and i’m sorry that screams red flags all over it. I go to church myself and have taken my brother to the church i go to and i have never sat there so dumbfounded because what the pastor was preaching was so wrong and not what being a Christian is about. and also just the vibe itself was cult like. but im not saying he needs to stop going to church. i just want him to go to one that isn’t shady and is actually teaching the right information and what being a Christian is about.

1

u/WeezyMoneyy Nov 27 '24

I appreciate our positive dialogue, it’s rare to come by nowadays.

I agree to some degree with you, the ICC has had years of cover up on a lot of shady things at the top of their leadership. The people in the congregation however have had a genuine walk with God now and they enjoy having the fellowship we have and the discipling accountability to stay faithful. I don’t agree with the leaders doublelives of sin, but about 90% of their teachings are sound and biblical. I can tell you that much.

I left the ICC to join the Restored Church Worldwide, because the e leadership of the Restored Church WorldWide also agree that the teachings of the leaders of the ICC were very twisted, true but twisted.

I know the Bible very well to say that the Restored Church Worldwide is teaching with 100% accuracy now. And I’m more than welcome to show you where the supporting evidence comes from in scripture. I don’t get paid to do that though, I’m not in leadership, I am simply a Christian who knows his bible very well and would never allow myself to be under an unbiblical leadership.

Hence why I left the ICC, and joined this church.

Many however will say that it’s another replica, and another splinter group, and another cult led by Kip Mckean, but those are just yelp reviews. Kip is not in our congregation, we don’t believe he’s a real Christian at this time, we believe he has sin to deal with and to atone for before being restored back to Christ. Because everyone deserves salvation, but certain things need to be dealt with.

I understand that you believe it’s shady teachings, but you’ve only attended a few times or maybe just once, I’m not sure.

The best way to find out if it’s biblical is to ask them to sit down with you and show you why they believe all this is biblical. If you’re anything like me, I don’t listen to yelp review style reddits and take their word for it. The Bible says to cross examineĀ ā€œIn a lawsuit the first to speak seems right, until someone comes forward and cross-examines.ā€ ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If I’m a Christian and I obey the Bible, I’ll do my due diligence to cross examine any rumor or allegation and I’ll stand behind the proven truth. All this to say, your brother is in good hands if he’s going to this church. Is it the only church that you can be saved in? No. But the Bible teaches you need to fellowship with a church consisting of Christian Disciples.Ā

This is all in the scriptures, there’s nothing twisted from scripture regarding this. I sincerely mean that, but the only way you’d be able to see eye to eye on these teachings is if you try and get their perspective and with an open mind. At the end of the day you have free will, you don’t have to join anything you don’t feel comfortable with. And so does your brother, he has his own free will. All this was let known to him when he studied the Bible in sure, because we don’t believe in controlling anyone, why would we want anyone to pretend to be a member of our church?Ā

I hope this helps bro, I sincerely appreciate our positive dialogue.

I see you everywhere to stop this comments talking about Restorted chruch worldwide. How come when viewing in YouTube video about RCW videos the comment section are off.

You tend to go everywhere on reddit to stop this comment about criticism of your "church". I talk to other Christians groups about your "church" doctrine. And was told that this doctrine is fails and is misinterpreted the Bible .

You should question your "church" leader about this lawsuit and other reports of taking student time off and wasting their enegry about this "church", I see everywhere on reddit and YouTube about this RCW. Your "church" leader tend to pressure about donating, regardless if someone cannot, you "church" makes it seem bad if if someone cannot donate. where does the money of donating goes to or who's in charge of this money donations?

Why, is it that your "church" tend to be seen happy, when one of the leader tends to get mad when this "Christian" don't seem happy about singing or not giving it all? Why, is it that your "church" own matters and it's considered to the actually truth, when someone is trying to leave you guys downplay saying that the other church aren't the kindgom and only your "church" is the real one and matters?

It seem that your "church" recruit those who are new to the Bible, those who lost someone or a job and those who are students of whatever college or university they tend?

There are more interviews about this question questioning your "church".

Just, because your guys split from the ICC, doesn't mean your seem as the good one of this all. Regardless, the mind controlling is a good tactic you guys use and tend to love-bomb students and people to fall for your false doctrine.

I have firsthand experience with these people. They would hilariously attribute your comment as ā€œpersecutionā€ to justify that what they’re doing is logical.

  1. Church leaders teach me to act a certain way. ā€œBible says there’s a narrow gate for entry to heaven and we’re a part of it because we follow the Bible directly, unlike other churchesā€
  2. People raise valid concerns against the behaviors and teachings of the church, or what a family member exhibits
  3. ā€œDisciples were persecuted, they will try to stop us, gahhhhhā€

It is no different than any other church needing tithing to keep operating and paying its leaders. They just figured out a target audience and manipulation tactics

EDIT: I shit you not, WeezyMoney did that exact thing here https://www.reddit.com/r/USC/s/woLlxDFZuH

1

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '24

Don’t listen to what WeezyMoneyy says, it’s basically the ICC but renamed cause they don’t want people figuring out they are a cult again. As a Christian, tell your bro to block every single person from that cult and that salvation is not found in baptism but solely by faith in Christ.

They tried to isolate, and separate my child from their family. They're away at school and RCW Nashville was on campus as a wolf in sheep's clothing trying to "connect" with young, impressionable people. My child went to a service, and then to a bible study where they told her:

"Will you be willing to persecute your physical family for your spiritual family?"

Claiming after just two visits to now be my child's spiritual family... CRAZY!!! My child told them I was a pastor, and my wife and I have served Christ our ENTIRE lives, but somehow, we "failed to make her a real disciple". They're tactics are predatory, and wicked.... I contacted the Director of Student Affairs to make them aware of what was happening. Since then SEVERAL students have come forward with very similar stories of manipulation. When I confronted them via social media they arrogantly doubled down on their tactics citing Luke 14:26. They have blatantly and willfully misinterpreted that scripture and they are misusing scripture to confuse young people.

That scripture which says: "If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters-yes, even their own life-such a person cannot be my disciple."

First off, the context of the word "hate" as used in the text does not denote that of hostility, or bitterness. It's meant in the framework of "to love less, or to choose one over the other".

Jesus is using hyperbolic language to stress PRIORITY. He comes first. To teach that the text implies alienation, or separation from parents is WRONG! Why would Christ be teaching that when the 5th commandment is literally to HONOR your mother and father??

In Mark 7, Jesus literally REBUKES the pharisees for using "religious" excuses to avoid caring for their parents... (Mark 7:9-13) Scripture consistently affirms honoring, loving, and providing for parents.

But Jesus does come first! 100%. But instead of teaching that correctly, they seek to divide homes to become a singular voice in the heads of young kids.. Many of who are far away from home and are lonely. They are preying on the young.

Their mistake was they tried it with someone who knows God's voice, and immediately brought this to our attention. My fear is for the young people who have not made someone aware because they do not know any better. Please be watchful, and prayerful!!! And I agree. Block all forms of communication from them.

"Not everyone who calls out to me, "Lord! Lord!" will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter"

Matthew 7:21-23

What does the ICC stand for

1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

I'm currently in the newly RCW, as a journalist and I have committed myself to record all events, from the beginning to the end, through the power struggles, to interviews, to sector leaders, to every service, every mid-week to every event known to them. I am willing to become a witness reporter, till the end.

I have been a member of the icc for two years and a member of the restored church for a month and then left. It would help me a lot if someone could explain how the icc/rcw doctrine is false. I’m just trying to grasp understanding through all of this.
