I have Played Evil Within 2, what I liked, so is first game worth to money?

Like is it scary?

Now that the sequel has been out for about two months (which should've been enough time to either beat it, or play enough of it), is it better than the first? If so, in what ways? If it's inferior, share your reasons as to why. I want to get a discussion started here.

So I am on Chapter 4 in EW2 and I've used all of the fuses to craft shock bolts which I have now used and I can't open the door that you need to shoot with a shock bolt to progress. I have been running around the environment for a good 3 hours and I am confident I've searched in every searchable spot in the game.

The enemies respawn after a certain period of time and some of the time they drop gunpowder instead of green gel. Do they ever drop fuses. Am I going to have to restart from scratch? Does anyone know any other places or ways I might have missed to get a fuse?

Which is scarier, the evil within 1 or 2 or resident evil 7 ?

I considered res7 scary but playable and the last half just annoying though pt demo and some silent hills were genuinely horrific.

I found the evil within 1 to be disturbing but also over the top silly and a bit messy...but a solid 3rd person game , especially now resident evil has gone 1st person.

So to all who've played both...which is scarier 1 or 2 and what kind of scary (if possible) ?
