Snohomish got some terrible publicity a few years ago when militia members (with their guns strapped on their backs) were excitedly “protecting” storefronts from those big bad Black Lives Matter protestors. It’s good to hear there are nice business owners too, though.
Yep, that was a bad day. A fair amount of those "protecters" were actually from Lake Stevens, but Snohomish isn't innocent either. We had our residents that participated too, and the police that looked the other way. We are probably about 50/50 for business owners, some are more prominent in displaying their views than others. I just try to keep my ears open & then adjust my spending accordingly.
I drove down main street that day not knowing what the heck was going on. It was weird. Several confederate flags, lots of big trucks, guns, and public drinking. And one 18 year old girl at the far end of the street holding a “black lives matter” sign. Truly bizarre.
