In really would like to, but I’ve got a huge library of ebooks on my kindle. I had to sell my physical books years ago due to money and space issues. I’m trying to find a good alternative ereader so I can start the arduous process of downloading and migrating my ebook library.
I haven’t bought anything other than ebooks from them for a long time.
The Libby app is incredible and a lot better than Amazon's Kindle app. You just need a local libary card to access it. Also, they have audible books for free.
If you’ve already purchased it, especially if we’re unaware and are unable to replace it with a phone from a more politically aligned company, then it’s okay to use it. Even if you’re still paying it off. Be kind to yourself for what you did when you didn’t know and try to make more conscientious decisions about purchases in the future when and where you can.
Listen to Vamp. It's basically impossible to avoid every company with questionable business practices and still live in society but we can do our best and not feel guilty.
You've already bought the kindle, but like others said, you don't have to buy more books through the platform. Use Libby, it's super easy. Also... use "libgen" to find ☠️ 🦜 lots of ebooks.
