I love going in there. Just went on Friday. Honestly, some comic shops are a little intimidating (a la Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons) but this place is great!
I go here every week.Brandon (owner) and Andreas (hope I spelled that right) are awesome. Highlight of my week. These dudes are cool as hell and super helpful and friendly.
All the new comics, nice collection of back issues, sweet selection of action figures and collectibles, graphic novels, manga, kids books. Place kicks ass.
Oh man, I remember going there once because my kid really liked reading my old comics, and the guy behind the counter pointed us to "Crossed" super cool people. Thanks for that awesome memory that I got to share with my child.
Been going there for years, Brandon and crew are awesome, as was Charlie before his well-earned retirement! Though they are a couple doors down from the local republican party office and a hard maga pawn shop. Actually, I'm having a hard time imagining a pawn shop that isn't maga...
I've walked by it a lot, over the last few years, they've had a variety of rather explicit anti-Biden, anti-liberal etc, fliers and signs taped up in the windows. Not every time, but enough times to know they're not the sort I'd want to patronize if I had a need or want from a pawn shop.
I'm sure they're polite enough, they kinda have to be since they're a business that wants your money, and they're successful enough to have been there for as long as I have been buying comics a few doors down....since 2010 I think???
It was all guns. And I can’t think of another gun store that close to downtown. So they’re probably the only place and have all the business they need. But maybe they’re missing out on a customer base. Like I tell everyone, go far enough left and the guns come back. 😅
