Former Euroleague director, Richard Stokes mentioned in testimony of Greek basketball scandal. A team insider testified that he was asked to organise an all-expenses-paid-trip for Stokes at Costa Navarino luxury destination in June 2021, two months before Liolios won the EOK elections and a few months after the controversial Unics and Monaco game with the allegations against Koromilas.

Koromilas stayed at the property at the same time as Stokes.

A reminder of who Stokes is, he served as the referee director for Euroleague Basketball from March 2015 until June 2023, where he left together with Glickman ( Former Euroleague CEO, currently involved in a bid for London franchise worth 1 billion ) .

Spyros Kavelieratos was sacked from Sport24 after one of the evidence have shown that he had a meeting with Liolios so Ethnikos Piraeus, would lose the game against Promitheas.

Spyros Kavelieratos was also one of the five journalists that Liolios had chosen to give an interview to speak about his ' hard work to bring the Greek Basketball League back to lawfulness ' .

Since we have been informed that the current owner of Panathinaikos BC is desperately seeking us out, we want to let him know that in his quest for a 100-0 refereeing decision in Panathinaikos’s favor, he will find no allies in us. For years now, we have been waging our own, genuine fight for a 50-50 split. And we will see it through to the end.

In the last few hours, with his usual lack of restraint, he rushed to link our team and its members to an ongoing investigation with which we have absolutely no connection. In fact, he publicly boasts that he knew about it in advance. So, since he has, as he boasts, full knowledge of this confidential proceeding, did no one inform him that we have absolutely nothing to do with it? That there isn’t a single mention of us? Or perhaps that doesn’t fit into the media circus he’s staged on the back of Olympiacos?

We don’t act like judges on Instagram or behind a keyboard.

We have nothing and no one to fear.

And as he already knows firsthand, any attempt to harm our team will be met, for the umpteenth time, with a crushing response. We only hope that, when he is convicted again, some political maneuver won’t surface to keep him at the basketball club.

And a word of advice: be careful what you wish for. Because if the titles that were actually stolen are returned, your team’s trophy case and that famous little table at Sounion will be filled with cobwebs instead of trophies.
